“Stayed for three nights, and while the hotel is an older one, the room, gym,pool/hot tub, and grounds in general are great. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We had a slight leak in the ceiling from plumbing, but it was quickly taken care of, and while the staff and general manage offered to move us to another room immediately, we decided to stay put since we really enjoyed the room's balcony view overlooking San Antonio. One slight caveat about the hotel is that parking is an extra $28/night, and although there is a cheap lot a block away, the GM, Joe, was kind enough to comp us the hotel's lot for our stay due to the leak, as well as give us a generous late check out. Joe's the man!”

“This hotel is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. The general manager is a disgrace to the hospitality industry who should be working in a Target. The check-in process was cumbersome and riddled with hotel-side issues. Booking did not communicate my reservation to the front desk, and the general manager refused to take ownership of the problem, insisting that it was not his error. Whether or not it was is fault, the general manager of a hotel should apologise for mistakes that occur within their system rather than pass off blame to another party. I have never been treated with such disrespect by a hotel manager of a self-acclaimed 4-star hotel. The only redeeming quality of my hotel room was the view. The furniture and popcorn ceilings probably have not been updated since the 90s. On top of this, my hotel room reeked of detergent, which was probably to cover up the smell of urine and fecal matter embedded into the carpet. The bedsheets were starchy and the pillows lumpy. My experience in this hotel was so bad that I decided to forfeit the first night’s fee and cancel my reservation to change hotels. I strongly advise all visitors to the San Antonio area to reconsider staying at this hotel.”
