Our room was clean, comfortable, and furnished with quality materials. The cleaning service was polite and thorough. The lobby staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast staff was funny and helpful while doing a splendid job of making the omlettes yummy (substitute the egg whites for whole eggs ;) ) Thank you for making an out-of-town visit feel so welcoming!

The Oakland Marriott City Center is a fantastic traditional-style hotel located right in the middle of downtown Oakland and attached to the Oakland Convention Center. With clean, spacious rooms, easy access to the entire Bay Area, and friendly and accommodating staff, it's everything a hotel should be. Upon arriving, we were greeted by friendly front desk and bell staff who made the check-in process a breeze. While it's not the most modern hotel, everything is kept in very good shape. The room was very clean, and the views from our west-facing room an upper floor were very impressive and easily some of the best in the area. We had a clear view of the Port of Oakland, most of San Francisco, and the entire Bay Bridge. We did notice a few minor maintenance issues, but when we left the next morning, we let the front desk know and maintenance took care of them without issue. As far as transit goes, there's easy freeway access with onsite (paid) parking that feels very secure, but the easy access to BART just across the street was even better. Having stayed at many hotels, I can say the staff here are particularly fantastic. They were very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay. In addition, our requests for towels or soap arrived at the room with a speed that we typically only see at hotels with delivery robots.

Eu amo Marriot! Sempre um excelente atendimento. Meu problema foi a iluminação do banheiro era horrível. Talvez adicionar uma luz extra sobre o espelho. Também notei que as roupas de lavagem eram “Made in Pakistan”. Isso foi estranho para mim, já que as outras toalhas eram de uma marca diferente. Alguma explicação? E os travesseiros eram muito macios. Eu tive que dobrá-los ao meio para obter qualquer apoio de cabeça.

Eu não ia a Oakland há pelo menos 20 anos e muita coisa mudou! Alguns para o bem e, como em qualquer outro lugar, o não tão bom, mas este hotel é muito bom. A equipe foi extremamente atenciosa, cortês e gentil. Os quartos são bem decorados, mas eu tive um problema no dia 1 com um cheiro de esgoto vindo do banheiro. Dissipou-se pouco depois de estar lá um par de horas e foi bom o resto da minha estadia. Notei o mesmo cheiro em alguns pontos da cidade, então não foi culpa deles. . A cama era super confortável, então dormi bastante nessa viagem e adorei! O serviço de limpeza respondeu ao meu pedido com rapidez e precisão e a segurança era prioridade aqui, com máscara à mão, desinfetante e redirecionamento de quem não se comportasse com respeito. Fiquei muito satisfeito com a minha estadia. Eles têm salões de festas, academia e um restaurante muito bom no local também. Se você estiver em Oakland, Califórnia, é um ótimo lugar para ficar!

Didn't even stay. Booked the room because I had a gig in town. The show was cancelled due to lack of ticket sales. Booked the room via Hotels.com. According to Hotels.com I fact did canceled on time but the hotel charged me. I was informed by hotel.com I would get a refund. Refund never came. I reached out to the hotel directly. Days went by with no reply until someone finally contacted me and blamed it on an ex-employee. How lame do you have to be to use that as an excuse? I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Somehow I will still at at fault and resolved as that. Hope you enjoy your pathetic $199.00 you multi million dollar corporation. Guess you need it more than me. Oh and my sister works for these people in a call center into another. She always telling me horror stories about working for these chuckleheads.

I hadn't been to Oakland in at least 20yrs and so much has changed! Some for the good and, as everywhere else, the not so good, but this hotel is very nice. The staff were extremely helpful, courteous, and personable. The rooms are nicely appointed, but I did have an issue day 1 with a sewage smell coming from the bathroom. It dissipated shortly after being there a couple of hours and it was fine the rest of my stay. I noticed the same smell in a couple of spots throughout the City so it wasn't their fault.. The bed was super comfortable so I got plenty of good sleep on this trip and I loved it! Housekeeping answered my request quickly and accurately and Safety was High in priority here with mask on hand to hand out, sanitizer, and the redirection of anyone not behaving Respectfully. I was really pleased with my stay. They have Ballrooms, Fitness, and a really nice Restaurant on site as well. If you are ever in Oakland, California it is a great place to stay!

I love Marriott! Always excellent service. My issue was the bathroom lighting was horrible. Maybe add an extra light over the mirror. Also I noticed that the wash clothes were “ Made in Pakistan”. That was odd to me since the other towels were a different brand. Any explanation? And the pillows were way to soft. I had to fold them in half to get any head support.

Veio para o Marriott para uma ocasião especial. Participou da festa de cinquenta anos do nosso primo. A comida servida era elegante e deliciosa. No geral montou o look a família do fotógrafo e amigos tiveram uma experiência e diversão extraordinárias. Eu recomendaria o Marriott a ninguém seja para entretenimento ou negócios.

Came to the Marriott for a special occasion. Attended our cousin's fifty birthday celebration. The catered food was elegant and delicious. Overall set up the look the photographer family and friends had an extraordinary experience and fun. I would recommend the Marriott to anyone whether it be for entertainment or business.

Hotel sólido, meus pais ficaram aqui por alguns dias. Este parece ser um dos melhores hotéis no centro de Oakland. Muito bom em aplicar regras de mascaramento, do outro lado da rua das linhas BART e amenidades limpas.

Have stayed here several times and am always impressed with the modern rooms and great staff. Ended up accidentally checking in super early this time but the staff got me into a room immediately when most hotels would not have. Great views as well!

Solid hotel, my parents stayed here for a few days. This seems to be one of the better hotels in the downtown Oakland area. Pretty good about enforcing masking rules, across the street from the BART lines, and clean amenities.

Eu dei três estrelas devido a Irene um membro da equipe que foi muito rude ao telefone quando liguei do meu quarto perguntando sobre minhas cobranças. Devido ao seu tom e comentários afiados, tive que informá-la que só estava perguntando porque nunca fui aconselhado pela equipe. E ela ainda era rude e irritada. Como cliente, me senti desrespeitado e ela agiu como se eu já soubesse desde que reservei minha estadia. Ela tem um atendimento ao cliente muito ruim. Reservei minha estadia por meio de terceiros e eles disseram que as taxas do resort serão diferentes dependendo do resort.Agora, a melhor parte, o manobrista foi incrível, gostaria de lembrar o nome dele, ele foi acolhedor, informativo, prestativo e teve um ótimo atendimento ao cliente.Também tivemos o prazer de conhecer James um dos servidores do bar no bar de carvalho. Ele foi incrível, seu atendimento ao cliente foi autêntico, não forçado, muito informativo, ótima atitude e, o mais importante, ele estava disponível. Na maioria das vezes, quando você é o único servidor no local, pode ser esmagador. Não James, ele fez um ótimo trabalho e nos fez um jalapeño Moscow mule que foi incrível.Obrigado manobrista e James por tornar minha estadia incrível e fornecer um ótimo atendimento ao cliente neste momento difícil do mundo.

I gave it three stars due to Irene a staff member who was very rude on the phone when i called from my room asking about my charges. Due to her tone and sharp comments i had to inform her I was only asking due to me never being advised by staff. And she still was rude and annoyed. As a customer i felt disrespected and she acted like i should have already known since i booked my stay. She has very poor customer service. I booked my stay through a third party and they said the resort fees will differ depending on the resort.Now for the best part, the valet was amazing wish I could remember his name, he was welcoming, informative, helpful and had great customer service.We also had the pleasure of meeting James one of the bar servers In the oak bar. He was amazing, his customer service was authentic, not forced, very informative, great attitude and most importantly he was available. Most times when your the only server on the floor it can be overwhelming. Not James he did such a great job and he made us a jalapeño Moscow mule that was amazing.Thank you valet and James for making my stay amazing and providing great customer service at this difficult time in the world.

Limpio y no tan caro. Lo bueno es que queda un estación del metro en la esquina desde donde puedes llegar a San Francisco en 30 minutos más o menos. Así te ahorras el alto costo de hoteles en San Francisco y toma este que cuesta igual que hoteles de 2-3 estrellas en San Francisco. Obvio cuartos limpios y atención de primera, lo que esperas de un Marriot. La zona bien, algunos vagabundos pero es que x todos lados andan rondando. Y seguro. Regresaría sin dudarlo.

Excelente en todos los sentidos ! Habitación, limpieza , camas , baño , televisores, vista !! Lo único queen el barrio por la noche es medio pesado, Muchos homeless , mucha vagancia . No recomiendo salir del hotel después del atardecer !! El valet parking no está incluido en la habitación y no es barato . Él subte es una buena opción para cruzar hacia San Francisco .
