Booked to go to Thatcher's hotel with my Dad through Wowcher. They took the codes and cashed in on the booking before Covid, then told me after lockdown that it was too late and I had lost my booking. They promised to get a manager to call back about it but this has not happened. Disgusting. Reservado para ir ao hotel de Thatcher com meu pai através do Wowcher. I returned to Thatchers for a spot of lunch, with a long standing business associate, having recommended the venue to him, for which my colleague was delighted to go on my recommendation.It having been a little while since I was last there, but the experience previously always excellent, and having been a regular at this venue for many years, and still using regularly other hotels in the Surya chain, I was confident it would be a great experience.How wrong was I!Instead I had to explain to my lunch companion that we were not welcome and had to leave!Upon arrival, we sat in the garden area, getting strange looks from people, no one however saying anything, and no one came to attend to us.So I go to reception to ask for service, to be greeted by an unfriendly, rude, arrogant person, who informs me the hotel is not open to the public and we have to leave.I was not allowed to return to the garden through the usual garden entrance that I just came through, and was made to leave through the main entrance and walk around.If the hotel is now closed then firstly, there were a lot of people there considering it is closed, the hotel sign is still up, and the car park is open and it is still listed on booking sites.I suggest Surya act professionally when they close a hotel to ensure it is not misleading and inviting people in!Take down the hotel sign or cover it up, and put a sign at the very entrance or a barrier to inform people without telepathic abilities that the hotel is now closed.When people do come in not realising this, you should also ensure the people managing the site are helpful, apologetic for the misunderstanding and look after your customers!This experience has certainly tainted my long-standing relationship with Surya and having had this experience whilst with a business colleague, I sadly find myself unable to do so in the future. Já faz algum tempo desde a última vez que estive lá, mas a experiência anteriormente sempre excelente, e sendo regular neste local há muitos anos, e ainda usando regularmente outros hotéis da cadeia Surya, estava confiante de que seria um ótimo experiência. Como eu estava errado! Em vez disso, tive que explicar ao meu companheiro de almoço que não éramos bem-vindos e tivemos que sair! Na chegada, sentamos na área do jardim, recebendo olhares estranhos das pessoas, ninguém no entanto dizendo nada, e ninguém veio nos atender. Então vou até a recepção pedir atendimento, ser recebido por uma pessoa antipática, rude, arrogante, que me informa que o hotel não está aberto ao público e temos que sair. Eu não tinha permissão para voltar ao jardim pela entrada habitual do jardim que acabei de passar, e fui obrigado a sair pela entrada principal e andar por aí. Se o hotel está fechado agora, em primeiro lugar, havia muitas pessoas lá, considerando que está fechado, a placa do hotel ainda está acesa e o estacionamento está aberto e ainda está listado nos sites de reservas. Sugiro que a Surya aja profissionalmente quando fechar um hotel para garantir que não seja enganoso e convidar as pessoas! Retire a placa do hotel ou cubra-a e coloque uma placa na entrada ou uma barreira para informar às pessoas sem habilidades telepáticas que o hotel está fechado. Quando as pessoas chegam sem perceber isso, você também deve garantir que as pessoas que gerenciam o site sejam úteis, peçam desculpas pelo mal-entendido e cuidem de seus clientes! Excelente todo muy agradable

It's a lovely spot, great rooms with large TV and excellent showers, but it was a little dirty with dust on the stairs, odd litter all over the carpet and whatever that bacon actually was , I was still chewing half an hour later. The staff are trusted to do a job so its harsh to put down the hotel for things outside their s scope, but for the price its value for money......just dont order the bacon for breakfast Es un lugar encantador, excelentes habitaciones con televisores grandes y excelentes duchas, pero estaba un poco sucio con polvo en las escaleras, basura extraña por toda la alfombra y lo que fuera ese tocino, todavía estaba masticando media hora más tarde. A equipe é confiável para fazer um trabalho, então é difícil colocar o hotel para fora do escopo, mas pelo preço, seu valor pelo dinheiro ...... apenas não peça o bacon no café da manhã

Nice, quiet, clean & warm. Great place for a day away with my family. The bed was comfortable, the shower was really good! But when we arrived they charged our card, and the next day we checked out they charged us again. We waited for some days to see if they had made a mistake and they would refund us but they never did. I tried to contact with the reception for 3 weeks to help me with the double charging but never could talk with anyone. When I finally talked with the reception I informed them and they said they will contact with the manager and refund me. Never happened, I had to try and contact them again several times and after 2 months I finally had my double charging refund. It is ashame such a nice place with such a dad servise and managment. Agradável, silencioso, limpo e quente. Ótimo lugar para passar um dia com minha família. A cama era confortável, o chuveiro era muito bom! Mas quando chegamos, eles cobraram nosso cartão e, no dia seguinte, fizemos o check-out, eles nos cobraram novamente. Esperamos alguns dias para ver se eles haviam cometido um erro e eles nos reembolsariam, mas nunca o fizeram. Tentei contato com a recepção por 3 semanas para me ajudar com a cobrança dupla, mas nunca consegui falar com ninguém. Quando finalmente conversei com a recepção, informei-os e eles disseram que entrarão em contato com o gerente e me reembolsarão. Nunca aconteceu, tive que tentar contatá-los novamente várias vezes e depois de 2 meses finalmente tive meu reembolso de cobrança dupla. É uma pena um lugar tão agradável com um serviço e gerenciamento tão paternos.

Stayed for 2 nights in January, room wasn't serviced and nothing to say it wouldn't be. On arrival, heating wasn't turned on, very noisy radiator when on. Couldn't sleep with it on. Towel rail in bathroom not working. Bar area toilets not the cleanest either.Food OK but not 5 star! However we enjoyed our stay and staff were pleasant Me alojé por 2 noches en enero, la habitación no fue atendida y nada que decir que no lo sería. Al llegar, la calefacción no estaba encendida, el radiador hacía mucho ruido cuando estaba encendido. No podía dormir con él puesto. El toallero del baño no funciona. Los baños del área del bar tampoco son los más limpios. ¡La comida está bien pero no es de 5 estrellas! Sin embargo, disfrutamos de nuestra estancia y el personal fue agradable.

I thought the room looked a little tired but the beds were perfectly comfortable and our room was a decent size. We had breakfast in the morning which was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and polite. I paid £80 (ish) for a family room for 2 adults and 2 children and that included breakfast. Excellent value for money and somewhere I would book again. No major issues at all, a good place to stay.
