“Having stayed at the Drake before Hilton bought the property, it’s a shame what they’ve done to this classic CHICAGO hotel. We arrived Friday night and there were no blankets for the sofa bed. It took 4 calls and over an hour to get a blanket for my kids. On Sunday evening we called to get bath towels because the housekeepers didn’t leave any. We were told that they had no one on staff to deliver them until 9 am, almost 2 hours later. Amazing. And the room was falling apart. Peeking wallpaper, cracked and flaking ceiling plaster, and a hole in the wall where a mini fridge had been removed. FYI, I am a Hilton Diamond member, so I doubt your experience will be any better, especially in terms of service. Shameful.”

“Our stay at The Drake was shared with 4 wedding parties and it was a very, loud mess. Slamming doors all night, loud people in the hall. And our door banged and rattled anytime another room door opened and closed. We also had a room that unfortunately had an adjoining room. We could hear everything going on in their room and them in ours...I chose The Drake to celebrate my 20th Anniversary and understood it to be more upscale and elegant than it actually is. The location is absolutely perfect but there are a lot of other choices in the same area.”
