“YIKES! Avoid this place and save your money! The view is the only upside to this hotel and boy do they make you pay for it. When my family and I first arrived our room was dirty and had a half-drank Gatorade sitting on the desk. The rooms are dark and musty- no ceiling lights, a tiny window, old carpet, chipping wall/ceiling paint and had room quality comparable to a Days-Inn or Super 8. We also called room service for an blanket and never got it after 2 hours of waiting.
The pool had dirty towels everywhere and tons of fire ants. Not to mention the hot tub didn’t work. At this point my family got a refund and left without even spending the night. It was that bad. They were gonna charge us $1800 for 3 nights of that quality, really?
Sky Rock Inn was a huge disappointment, you can definitely find something else with better service and price.”

“Very disappointing. Ratings are a bit confusing because on one source it says 4.4 stars and on the other it's rated as a 3 star hotel. Regardless, life has been extremely stressful so I decided to book a night at the hotel to get out of the desert heat for a day and a half. I was charged $350 for a deluxe queen room for one night. Totally fine paying that at first because I thought this was a nice hotel. The young woman at the front desk (with the fun colored nails) was so friendly and informative. At the same rate, I was first in line and 4 more people lined up behind me. The second front desk person must've decided it was a good time to take a lunch break because she got up and said to the guests, "she'll be right with you", and walked out. Parking was very limited and we had to park over night on the road, on top of a speed bump on a downward hill...there were at least a dozen other cars that had to do the same thing. This hotel has GREAT views and great patios. However, outside of our room, we had a couch directly in front of our window. Outside of our neighbors room, they had a couch directly in front of their window. There were additional communal areas for guests to hang out but instead they all kept making their way to sitting on our couch which is legitimately right outside of our window, 2 feet away from our door. We had people sitting on the couches at midnight and at 7 am when we rolled up the blinds to make coffee. There was very little privacy and it was especially uncomfortable opening your window and having strangers looking in at you from the patio couch. If the couches are for the deluxe customers only then I think there should be some signage stating so because we had a bunch of people wandering on and off. The rooms were not updated, instead it was as if they just threw on a fresh coat of paint over everything. Beds were stiff. Bedding was stiff...The hotel ice machine was broken which is fine until the bar also runs out of ice. We tried to visit the pool but it is SO small that it couldn't accommodate all of the guests that were staying at the hotel. Given the $350 for one night, I also figured we wouldn't have to worry about screaming children, but sadly...that wasn't the case. They also have a craft cocktail menu at the bar which is great until you have one bartender and each drink takes 1-2 minutes to make. I've been in the service industry for 8 years now and I guess I would recommend to make a less time demanding drink menu given that at one point there was 12 people waiting in line to grab a drink to take to the pool. I'm just kind of at a loss of words given that I feel at most I should've paid $100 for that stay. I know COVID19 is a tough time for everyone but the management should understand how grateful they should be to be open and how wonderful it is that guests still want to visit their establishment. For the price, I would not stay here again.”

I would rate this hotel as 'very good, with some key flaws'.
The good:
The view and concept of this place is stunning. The large terraces are unique and beautiful. It was unfortunately rainy during my whole stay so I didn't get to enjoy them, but I imagine they're wonderful for seeing stars.
The rooms are nice with tasteful decor. I liked that it didn't feel like your run-of-the-mill hotel room.
The lobby is really nice and a place you want to spend time in. They clearly spent money on the lobby vs. updating the rooms. I hope the rooms live up to the lobby presentation in the future because this hotel has so much going for it.
The weird:
Staff seemed discombobulated. When I checked in, I was given a key to a room that had not yet been cleaned. Front desk seemed confused about why and didn't seem all-too-frazzled about leaving a guest stranded for an hour while they sorted out another room. It wasn't a big deal in the end, but it could have been if my plans had been different.
The ugly:
The tubs need an update. They are old and a bit grimy. I would definitely not take a bath in the one that I had. I stayed for 3 nights and waited for the cleaning staff to remove the previous guest's t-shirt that they had forgotten draped over the shower curtain, but they never saw it, which tells me the cleaning wasn't very thorough.
The shower water was warm at best, while the sink got piping hot. You'd want a nice hot shower at the end of a long day hiking, so hopefully they sort this issue out.
I also found it weird that my room was cleaned and linens replaced every day, especially in a dry state like Arizona. Completely unnecessary. There was no card to opt out as there are at many hotels these days.
Overall, I wouldn't mind staying here again, but I'd probably look at other options in my price range first.

We fell in love when we walked into the lobby area, which opened up to a spectacular view of red rocks. The lobby, bar, sitting area was hopping with activity and some great music both evenings we were there.
Location is super close to downtown and the free shuttle was like our personal chauffeur and we could get rides to and from downtown and certain trailheads with out worrying about driving.
The reviews were lower because Marriott just bought the hotel and is planning on room upgrades next year. What a pleasant surprise

Amazing property! The Sky Rock has amazing views, a wonderful lounge with great food, drinks and live music. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Ours has a propane fireplace and back door to a patio to watch the sunsets. Staff was wonderful. Parking and shuttle service to Uptown is complimentary. Fantastic stay and highly recommend.

We booked at this resort for a girls weekend, with my daughter and sister in law, and my niece. The room was definitely not as nice or comfortable as the pictures indicated. The other community areas we quite gorgeous, with beautiful decor, and lovely bar areas, but the room we stayed in looked haphazardly and cheaply updated. I enjoyed the location, but would think twice about a second stay.
The main issue was that this establishment seemed to cater to wedding parties . We were kept up by a lot of loud noises, and what sounded like some very, very intoxicated people. Also, the event we attended for “star gazing” was facilitated by a man who made us feel uncomfortable! He was on edge, and kept getting anxious and upset that we might touch the expensive equipment he brought for the group to see the stars, also, he had racing speech and in general, odd behavior! We had fun in spite of these issues but, were dissatisfied overall! The worst part of the stay was when some drunk people were throwing up outside our room. Not good! We talked to the management, who were actually really lovely and very apologetic.

Found Sky Rock Sedona kind of by accident but it turned out to be one of my favorite stays. Boutique hotel that has some of the most amazing views of the surrounding area. All of the public areas are very well appointed. All of the staff were very friendly and courteous. Great drinks at the bar and the views... wow!! I will definitely be coming back here!

The views don’t let you down, everywhere you look it’s quite beautiful. The lobby has a lovely seating and dining area with killer views. Each day features a unique offering such as yoga, meditation, music with dinner, etc. The rooms with the back patio are worth it. Nice place to stay.

Great place. The rooms have doors on both sides leading to gorgeous views. Definitely get a top floor since the lower floors see more of the parking lots and garage bins, but you just have to look up to see the view.
They have meditation and yoga on offer in the morning. The lobby has entertainment, jewelry shows and star gazing on different nights.
It is a good location and a very comfortable stay.

The hotel is very conveniently located, has amazing views, and is very quiet even though it's just off the main road in Sedona. The pool was lovely, and we enjoyed the evening fire pits. Our bed was firm, but not too firm, while the pillows were not great. Sadly the walls were too thin, so we were awakened at 5:15 by our neighbor.😒 The staff was excellent & helpful, but the hotel definitely needs a restaurant.

Views from top floor are nice when you’re outside, but that’s about the only thing this place does right.
- We paid over $1,700 for a (4) night stay in one of their rooms. It wasn’t their top tier room either. For that amount of money, you’d hope for good service, but that wasn’t the case.
- Hotel room was dated. Felt dark with only a single small window. Air in room felt stuffy with old carpet.
- Yoga/meditation room was felt very crammed when attending, it was just a small room to begin with.
- They are sticklers about lighting their gas pits, but you’re charged an amenity fee each night?
- Out of the four nights, we had room cleaning for only one.
- If I got to redo my wife’s birthday trip, I would choose another place in a heartbeat.
Don’t spend your money here. I’m sure there are much better hotels that offer service with a nice view too.

Excellent hotel. Yes it is a older hotel that was recently remodeled but the remodel is nice. Free breakfast , hot breakfast every morning with eggs, sausage, potatoes plus pastries like bagels. You can sit on the deck and enjoy the views. They have free yoga and mediation every morning by the pool, which I enjoyed. The room was decorated nicely. I wish it had a microwave but that was the only downside. You get a decent fridge and a Keurig. I loved being on the second floor with the shared balcony. I was there three nights and I never had anyone else on the balcony with me but it has a nice couch to sit on and enjoy the views with your coffee or night cocktail!
The pool and hot tub I would probably only give two stars it really just needs to be torn out and redone. But it was okay. That wasn’t the reason I was going to stay at the hotel but a pool can be a big feature to Lure someone to somewhere nicer. but you’re gonna have to pay the difference. I also was looking at staying at Amara resort just for the pool, but it was between $100-$200 more a night!
They also have live music on the weekends along with stargazing which I didn’t partake in, I would have if it was offered every night. I really liked the location of this hotel it took me less than 10 minutes to get down to the creek and it’s about a 20 minute drive to go hike at Bell rock. You’re also in walking distance to a couple restaurants and Whole Foods! I would stay here again in a heart beat!

We came here knowing we were about to gender reveal to our family while also taking a vacation for the first time in a long time. This hotel is snug in the middle of absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking views of the mountains. We did our gender reveal with the help of Deb and other staff members and couldn't have announced this any better. We have enjoyed every minute of this stay and it's barely half over. Thank you for providing a moment of a lifetime for us.

Horrible. The advertising leads a person to believe everything should be comfortable and clean on arrival. When I opened the doors both rooms were filthy. Carpets not vacuumed, individual air conditioning units had a stench of "mold",. One of our rooms had huge bugs in the bedding. I used bleach wipes to wipe down the surfaces and the wipes were covered with filth. We checked out immediately and went to The Element which was absolutely a gorgeous hotel. So don't fall for the.pretty photos.

Definitely a two star hotel. The hotel has been recently remodeled, but think of it as lipstick on a pig. I called an hour before we arrived and asked if the pool was open, I got an enthusiastic "yes". When we arrived, the pool was so cloudy that you could not see the bottom and was covered with dead bugs and leaves floating on the surface.
At this point it was too late to switch hotels, so I went back and asked the front desk about this and why I was told it was open, to which I got a "well, it is open". I explained to her that being open and actually being able to swim in the pool are different things, but she didn't get it and did not even offer an apology. She said she would have the manager call me, they never did. Very poor customer service.
The hotel has been recently upgraded, but at its core it is still a motel. This property was a Best Western for many years, the customer service is still that of one.
