Overall great experience. From when we checked in with Gustavo, very informative and fast. Bartenders made the drinks so good and strong especially Gerardo. In the buffet Pepe was our waiter and he was very friendly and knew how to welcome us very well. Amenities are great. They were also good on security on only guests being aloud! This is the 3rd hotel I’ve stayed in Cancun and so far my favorite.

The resort is pretty small compared to others in Cancun which is something we liked. Me and my boyfriend stay from May 16 to May 20 and we had a great time. They gave us a better room because ours wasn’t ready which was already a great start. There are 4 restaurants, and 3 are reservations only which is kinda of annoying because you need to down to the lobby before 8 to get in line to get a spot, and there aren’t many spots. Other restaurant is buffet. The food is pretty good, there were some things we didn’t like but others that were very good, especially at the Italian and Mexican restaurant. There’s also a snack bar open 24h. The pool is nice and there’s almost always some activities going on. The beach is very small but clean and nice. The only downside is that there are boat passing by and stopping right next to the hotel which can be annoying if you’re tying to relax. The peace of water you can access and swim is also very small. The personnel is always available to get your drinks (because they need tips). They’re also always cleaning and we didn’t see anything dirty left behind. Our room was very nice, AC works great, always clean and they’re always refilling the mini bar (part of the all-inclusive). We didn’t have any issues with people trying to sell you things or having you sign up for things like others said. Overall, for the price, this is a great place to stay for a couple days, however I don’t think I would spend more than 5/6 days there

This resort is GREAT! My daughter enjoyed herself. The staff is super friendly. The place is always clean. They have a Kids club that does activities from 9-5. Ranges from in their kids center to water activities. My daughter LOVED Raquel. She is a sweetheart and so great with kids. My family will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I have stayed here a few different occasions. We enjoy ourselves each time. Exceptional customer service, good food options. It's more of a party vibe so if you're looking to relax & have quiet time you may not like it. They have fun events and games at the pool . They have concerts and shows right on the resort. We love to party so the vibe is always righteous. Rooms are decent & they are constantly sanitizing. And the price is pretty great too. Planning another trip for December of 2022. Love it!

This place is amazing! The place is clean everywhere you look, I always saw someone keeping things neat and tidy. All the staff is friendly, when we first arrived we was quickly greeted and our bags was taken to be sanitized. The buffet was amazing and the food was great. There was always someone coming to the pool area making sure we was good on drinks. The rooms was nice and super clean, someone came every morning for cleaning service and to restock the fridge. It felt like heaven there. I would definitely come back and or recommend to other people. My only complaint is that you have to come down to the lobby at 9am everyday to make reservations for the seafood, Mexican or Italian restaurants and if you didn’t get downstairs in time, you’ll be stuck with the buffet. I wish there was a way to book reservations online rather than trying to wake up early after being up late at night enjoying any activities.

My family just got back from staying here and we all had an incredible time! The location is a little farther up from the center of the hotel zone but it was really great! There is a small private beach within the hotel which is more than enough room. There is plenty of shade at the beach and so many palm trees which complete the tropical aesthetic. For the price, it really couldn't get better. The food was great, especially at the restaurants that were a la carte. The staff were all super friendly and made the experience so much better. The activity instructors were so full of energy and really brought up the mood. All of the servers were great, but Alberto in particular was so kind and made us feel so welcome! Our family will definitely be coming back!

Amazing stay at the Occidental, the people were kind and very accommodating. The all inclusive food was such an amazing experience and the wait staff really didn’t hold back on their hospitality. Specifically our waiter Ernesto Machin, who had served us several times, was an outstanding waiter who knew our needs before we even asked and was very polite. The beach was beautiful and family friendly and the hotel was clean and pristine. Would definitely book here again.

Check in was really easy. Everyone was super friendly. There wasn't any hard selling. The food is good and they have 24 hour room service and snack bar. You can't take the food to your room from the snack bar. The room was very cozy. The mini fridge was stocked with plenty of water and sodas. Music is definitely needed by the pool. Being on the top floor, it took a while for the water to get hot for the shower. Overall, it is a good hotel.

Gorgeous architecture and bathrooms. Rooms were typical, which isn’t a bad thing. VERY CLEAN, which I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate! Meals got a bit repetitive for staying there a week and entertainment was pretty limited. Would have appreciated more music at night and definitely more entertainment besides stretching and volleyball every day at 11. Got a bit mundane. Drinks were also really disappointing. Very off flavor for every drink. Either plain/generic alcohol or frozen margaritas were more like chunky icees.

The room wasn't ready when we arrived , gave us a smaller room, close to a construction building, (noisy for people trying to unwind from daily routine. Also forgot to fill the minibar daily. Do have to be up early for reservations for the restaurants. 7am is late to be making the line. Knowing that people are vacationing. There has to be a different way to set up the reservations. Not all restaurants are opened daily ... Other than that service and food was good.

Was physically assaulted at the hotel by another guest. My hotel room was next to the lobby, so the cameras and staff were near. When I came out screaming for help, management told me not to cause a scene. How do you not cause a scene when someone came into my room and hit me while going through my items. When I asked the hotel to call the police, they said no because it would cause issues for the hotel and for myself. This is supposed to be a resort where, I am supposed to feel safe not threaten when asked for police to be called, I said I did not care what scene was made and if it would cause trouble for me. Police were called and a report was made, hotel night time management was were extremely rude about the situation and did not help. In the morning the new management team came and they were much more helpful but by then I was leaving and would never come back because of how poorly this situation was handled. I requested a refund and was not granted one and management was still not helpful. It's upsetting to think assaults on the property happen with no help from the management. WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND DUE TO POOR MANAGEMENT.

Great experience. If there were any improvements they could make, it would be speedier check-in (ours took 30 mins). Also, dinner reservations is too early (you have to be in the lobby around 6am to get a table). I was lucky that my friend who came with me is an early bird, otherwise I would've been stuck eating at the buffet restaurant all week, or miserable having to wake up super early during my vacation. Other than that, every staff member was extremely friendly and attentive. From the bellman to the waiters, their great service is what made the trip very pleasant. The resort is clean and beautiful, food was okay (3/5). I'd recommend to anyone visiting Cancun.

O resort é lindo!!! Como todo bom resort em Cancún, este é beira-mar! O resort é grande, dispõe de alguns restaurantes onde você pode escolher onde quer almoçar, tomar café e jantar, sendo que alguns para o jantar é necessário realizar a reserva antes, informe-se na recepção! O sistema all-inclusive é bom e vale muito a pena para quem gosta de uma boacomida e dink’s d bebidas diversas! Aproveitem para programar passeios, que o próprio resort oferece por um custo adicional.

Es nuestra primer salida en pandemia, me gustó ver que se cuidan los empleados y obviamente también a los huéspedes.Todo el personal muy cálido y con buena disposición.Mención especial a Juanita del snack, Bernardino del Lobby Bar y un mesero de nombre Gualberto? Aunque todos se portaron super bien.Al estar el hotel en muy baja ocupación manejan menu a la carta, nos tocó buffet asistido en 2 ocasiones y no estaba tan rico como el menú a la carta.Habitaciones de muy buen tamaño. Sin problemas de mantenimiento.Playa, no es lo mejor de Cancún,no hay ese tono característico ni esas olas tan hermosas.

Great resort for those looking to relax and enjoy good service. Check in was smooth, with staff making sure to sanitize your feet and luggage. We were upgraded to a nicer room free of charge and without asking:) the guys at the bar Christian and Felipe made sure we had a blast! And all of the staff members were nothing but amicable and ready to assist in any request we had. While the food and the reservations process could benefit from some improvement, overall the experience is fair given the price. Everything in the minibar is included and is refilled daily. The beach is small but has everything you need, including another friendly bar:) If you are high maintenance this is most certainly not the place for you, and would advise you pay the difference and stay at a more “vip” place. Otherwise this place is great if you are trying to enjoy the Mexican sun, atmosphere, and hospitality. Also shout out to the security detail for ensuring everyone feels super duper safe and conveniently getting a taxi for us whenever we needed.

Excelente Hotel! Ya me había hospedado antes en hoteles de la familia Barcelo y la verdad en Occidental Costa Cancún también quedé encantado. El hotel esta en perfectas condiciones, el personal siempre fue muy amable en todos los aspectos, nos sentimos como en casa, las habitaciones impecables, la piscina igual. En cuanto al mar tiene una zona muy bonita de aguas tranquilas en Playa Linda. Todas las comidas y bebida estuvieron realmente buenas y de calidad. En si fueron unos días de estancia totalmente agradables y sin duda volveria a hospedarme ahí!

Excelente hotel, muy cuidadosos con sus huéspedes y muy aseado todo, tienen muy claro los protocolos de bioseguridady en ningún momento te sientes inseguro por parte de sus empleados, la comida deliciosa y tiene mucha opción como comida se Mar, Italiana, Mexicana, buffet (aquí recordamos mucho a Luisito)... El personal de entretenimiento excelente lástima los shows nocturnos están restringidos pero los de la piscina buenísimos. Celebramos allí nuestra Luna de miel y no pudimos escoger mejor lugar, muchasss gracias por todo...

Amazing hotel, poor food quality the taste is not good, amazing staff members , 3 restaurants none open daily, must have reservation. Only made same day. Better get in line at 7am or you won’t get a reservation. Drinks are very weak, have to always ask for double or triple. Apparently they have no salad dressing at all available. Most room service items aren’t available, again the service and staff are amazing. Spa are amazing too I he really good experience.

Good place for a family of small children, there is no waves on the small beach for the kids to play, the food is very basic in the buffet option. The other restaurants you have to wake up before 7am to go to the concierge to make the reservation for the same day for dinner. So pretty much if you want to have nice meals you have to wake up everyday that early to make the dinner reservation for same day. Not the best option in my opinion. The customer service was great, employees were very polite, expect to have change for tips, not that is require but they do a great job serving you. I’ll recommend this hotel for families of small children. Special kudos to Sandra, Efrain great customer service!!! Something I didn’t like is that they required to make a copy of your passport, when I told them I didn’t like that they said it was a requirement. If they want to verify your identity just look se it and verify not a need to make a copy and keep it.

The place is starting to fill up with people. Food- Right now only 2 places are open to eat, the buffet and one other restaurant. If you want to eat in the restaurant for dinner you have to line-up to make a reservation at 6:30am every morning. The food quality is not bad. We had to add salt to every meal. Pool- The pool is not heated and not very big. Room- They are a little slow with cleaning rooms but they do a good job. Service- The service is not bad, but they are understaffed so it's not 5 star service

Is it 5 star no. Would I stay here again? Likely not. But it is what it is. 3 restaurants. None open daily. Must have reservation. Only made same day. Better get in line at 0645am or you won’t get a reservation. Drinks are very weak. Have to always ask for double or triple. Apparently they have NO salad dressing at all available. Most room service items aren’t available. Now the service and staff are amazing. Go far and above! We got locked IN our room first night and they quickly had a crew breaking the door down. They upgraded us to an ocean front room that was equally as nice as the pool view room.

Muito comodo porque fica ao lado do ferry para Isla Mujeres que tem as melhores praias dessa regiãoTem casa de cambio perto,farmácia, loja de conveniência.
