“Estamos por la mitad de nuestra estadía y la verdad estamos muy conformes con todo, previo a venir me detuve a leer comentarios y muchos me preocuparon innecesariamente, hoy compruebo que esa gente que critica el servicio o el hotel realmente no hay nada que pueda conformarla y que si tienen tantos dramas o traumas, mejor que se queden en su casa. Vinimos en familia con un bebé y la estamos pasando muy bien! Gracias. La comida es variada y completa, las piletas y la playa un lujo y el servicio de la gente que trabaja en el hotel es de lo más amable.”

“The management here was negligible, unhelpful and unwelcoming, especially with the enforcement of adequate Covid-19 measures. The representative of Sunwing, Maricella was blatantly arrogant and self-serving. She refused to help us while asking how to properly Quarantine after testing positive for Covid. She instructed us to continuepartaking in the resort activities and nightlife whilst we had the virus. the other staff/employees of the hotel were attentive and productive. I do not recommend the Sunwing package for anyone who expects to be served with respect and empathy, as sunwing does not share these values, if any.”

No llevo ni 24 hrs en este hotel y ya se que nunca quiero regresar. Se vende como algo que NO es y por lo que vale uno esperaría lo mínimo! Muchas fallas de mantenimiento, llamamos mas de 3 veces a recepción y hasta que no bajamos no nos hicieron caso. La comida INFAME. Si no te gustan los mariscos, evita este hotel porque TODOS los restaurantes huelen a eso. Cero planeación del placement de la comida, ayer los postres estaban al lado de una bandeja de almejas… imaginense a que sabían 🤢 No hay amenities en los baños (shampoo, jabones, etc) solo un gel “todo en uno” en la regadera asi que traigan sus cosas de uso personal. Sobrevendido, overrated… una terrible experiencia

Es muy bueno, la atención, las instalaciones. sin un poco antiguas, pero nada grave La playa es hermosa, tengo la suerte que el agua está impecable, sin nada de sargazo. La comida del buffet aprueba con lo justo, pero los restaurantes son buenísimos. Tiene bastante playa, pero es finita. Un par de veces al día hay que moverse finde está el sol. Lo recomiendo igual!

Fantastic hotel with a great vibe. All the staff are friendly especially Karla the cleaner for the men's and women's toilet beside the sport bar. Karla was so happy and always greets with a smile. I enjoyed the aqua water classes with Rum and the main trainer, although it was a work out. I loved international and Michael Jackson night. Also the bars and the restaurant are 2 minutes walk away. The scenery is stunning, I can't wait to come back.

Amazing holiday, we had the best time! I would definitely say managed expectations is key. Good value for money, the hotel puts on free foam, beach and silent parties which were amazing. I would say if you was 20-50ish and just wanted a fun laid back holiday this hotel was perfect (probably a little bit lacking if you want 5 star luxury) Please be wary of your items poolside, unfortunately there was a bag theft and we had a few personal items stolen while at lunch but if you are vigilant and don’t leave bags unattended you should be fine. Also try to avoid the floor with the weird barrier over the balcony (you will see what I mean in other reviews)Side note that I wish someone said to me- make sure you try all the restaurants straight away, we missed a few of them because we waited until the end of the holiday :) they are so good!

Gostei de quase tudo no lugar, vamos começar pelas coisas boas, o pessoal que trabalha no hotel são incríveis super educados fazer você se sentir confortável no hotel, as bebidas super geladas saborosa, tem comida para todos os gostos. Em relação a comida aos brasileiros o feijão deles é tipo uma pasta um tutu, arroz gelado o resto uma delícia. Tem piscina para todos os gostos, a praia super limpa. Agora as coisas que não gostei, primeiro de tudo o quarto, cheira mofo e tem uma aparência parada nos anos 2000, até a coberta deles é antiga, Área da piscina e da praia, conta com apenas um banheiro feminino e um masculino com 4 divisão, achei pouco pela quantidade de gente que fica nesta área. De resto é um hotel incrível você já chega e é muito bem recebido com drink, fomos de lua de mel e no segundo dia chegamos no quarto e ele estava todo enfeitado para lua de mel 🥰

Excelente vista, atención y servicio. Hace dos semanas estuve en Riu Cancún y primera vez, me encantó la vista desde la habitación y el servicio entregado en cuanto a la limpieza. Sin embargo, considero que hay muy pocos ascensores para tanta cantidad de personas que residen en el hotel, a veces era imposible subir al piso, ya que los ascensores se llenaban y por último, considero que deberían "modernizar" parte de los muebles de la habitación y baño.

Ponto negativo..a comida era muito repetitiva e poucas opções em relação de outros resorts que fiquei na Riviera Maia.. reposição no frigobar.. tinha que pedir todos os dias... Ponto positivo..a cordialidade dos funcionários... à vista MARAVILHOSA do quarto para o mar de Cancun.. enfim entre pós e contra com CERTEZA voltarei a me hospedar neste hotel ..

Escogí este hotel para festejarme mi cumpleaños y la verdad es que no fue lo que esperaba, el hotel esta muy bonito pero me dieron una habitación que tenia olor a drenaje, la limpieza que hacen a la habitación es muy tardado y te dejan rollos de papel incompletos, no dejan jabón aunque lo fui a solicitar a recepción no me hicieron caso, tampoco dejan crema para las manos, me toco desayunar el día de mi cumpleaños y una señorita que prepara los huevos me atendió super mal no puedo olvidar esa desagradable experiencia, los tiempos de desayuno y comida son muy puntuales y te cierran el lugar y andan limpiando para que te vayas. No me gusto la atención, la habitación ni la comida.

Hola ... Me pareció muy bonito y agradable el hotel. Habitaciones a amplías y limpias. La comida en general buena y variada... El entretenimiento agradable... En general buena experiencia... El único detalle a resaltar y no menos importante es la atención... Los empleados son poco amables o más bien discriminan... Les comparto mi experiencia.. Un mesero nos recibió y asignó mesa pero los clientes siguientes eran extranjeros, entonces nos dejó y se fue a atender con mucha amabilidad a los extranjeros ( que al final tristemente le dejaron un dólar de propina) considero que les hace falta capacitación en servicio... Los mexicanos también vamos a gastar nuestro dinerito... Aún así muy agradecida con sus instalaciones y con parte del personal ☺️ ( no todos son iguales)

Great value hotel. Very fun, with many younger guests and lots of energy energy. Many activities and games. The staff is attentive and the food is delicious. Don't book there more expensive all inclusive resorts. They are almost all empty and boring. This one is vibrant, in a great location, and won't break the bank. The rooms are a bit dated, but you won't spend much time in the rooms anyway.

El hotel es hermoso. Muy bueno el entretenimiento, la comida, buena predisposición y buena onda del personal. Te hacen pasar unas vacaciones increíbles.Lo único malo que voy a resaltar es que los restaurantes temáticos son imposibles de conocer, el horario es muy acotado y al no permitir reserva o vas a cenar a las 1830 o no los podes conocer.Otro tema a resaltar es que en la habitación hay una puerta ( adjunto foto) que comunica con la habitación de al lado, o sea, prácticamente convivis, escuchas lo que hablan y lo que hacen los huéspedes contiguos,lo cuál es inadmisible.

This hotel has one of the best beaches in Cancun. The water was so clear and clean. You can snorkel and see some beautiful fish. There was plenty of beach chairs without having to reserve ahead of time. The property for the most part was very clean. It is an older property and the employees work very hard keeping it clean. It is an all inclusive for food and drinks. No complaints there , everything was pretty tasty and fresh. The hotel is centrally located and near shops. The view from our room was absolutely breath taking. The rooms are very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The only negative for us was the smoking. It is a smokers paradise and it’s hard to find a place to relax without encountering the smoke. The hotel has good entertainment every night and very talented people. We would consider staying again at this property and would recommend.

Just come back from a two week holiday here
I have to say it was absolutely lovely from the hotel itself and especially all the staff. We didn’t come across anyone who wasn’t willing to help in some kind of way they were always very pleasant and very welcoming
The hotel has lots to offer and is very spacious with chill out areas if you need a rest from the entertainment side of things. (You get no hassle from any of they if you don’t want to join in neither)
The rooms were very spacious any kept clean and stocked up on a daily basis.
As for the meal options well there was loads to choose from albeit the usual you expect from being all inclusive but it was very tasty an fresh made all the time. The steak house and the Italian were rather nice too. Overall we had a really enjoyable pleasant holiday and the beaches are to die for

We have just returned from a two week stay. We had a fabulous time. The food we found excellent, so much choice, the staff were all outstanding, and couldn't do enough for you, and were always smiling🙂
Everything was always kept so clean. Rooms very spacious, beds were extremely comfortable, cleaned everyday. The entertainment we found to be very professional, which we enjoyed sitting watching after our evening meal. Plenty of area's to sit and watch the world go by. There was plenty of choice on where to sunbathe, you had the quiet pools and if you wanted a bit of fun, you could go to the area where the pool bar was.
So much choice, if you enjoy a drink , even in your room. To sum it up, we had a fantastic time in a beautiful hotel😀

Hotel muito bom. Comida excelente. Em frente ao hotel havia uma esgoto transbordando, e os ventos fortes de Cancún pulverizavam esgoto no ar. Você saia do hotel pra dar um passeio e o cheiro de fezes tomava conta, além de voltar direto pro banho pra se lavar das gotas e partículas lançadas pelo vento

Este hotel es excelente. Muy buena ubicación, en primera línea de playa y de muy buena playa (nada de sargazo). Las habitaciones son excelentes y con una vista espectacular. Las comidas de muy buena calidad y variedad. El personal muy amable. Permanentemente están ofreciendo bebidas, estés en la playa, en el lobby o en cualquier otro lugar. Todo diez puntos.

Pontos positivos: All inclusive com variedades no buffet,café da manhã com muitas frutas, queijos, sanduíches variados. Restaurante a La Carte, piscinas sempre limpas, coquetéis refrescantes. Quartos grandes, arejados é sempre limpos. Pontos negativos: fomos roubados em nosso quarto, comunicamos o ocorrido a gerência. Ficaram de retornar com 3 dias, fizeram um rastreamento no cofre faltando 1 dia para voltarmos ao Brasil, este rastreamento não deu em nada, comunicaram que o aparelho que faz o rastreamento estava com defeito. Ofereceram uma diária ou uma massagem, mas o nosso voo era no dia seguinte bem cedo. Pediram nosso e-mail e até hoje não recebemos nenhuma solução do furto.

Check in and check out went smoothly, and everything about the stay was great. Staff were all friendly and efficient. The room was very nice with a view of the ocean. The food and drinks were great, so many choices and well prepared, from breakfast to dinner. They had shows at night, too. There was really no need to leave the hotel, it is all inclusive after all, but if you want to do some day trips, they also provide that service, with a variety of activities to choose from. All in all a great experience.

Me and my 3 friends are only just home and we were very sad to go, we had the most amazing time at this hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing and I mean all the staff, they really cannot do enough for you, always so happy and pleasant.. The food was good my fave was the Japanese tho, the frozen Margaritas I am going to miss a lot!!! I will definitely be coming back too see you all, miss you all already. Best team working in this hotel.

It started off kind off rocky, we were given a room with a moldy smell but was changed to a much better room once I complain to the front desk. The services was awesome and the food was good for the most part. I enjoyed myself, they try to keep you entertained everyday. The elevators are a little slow during check-out because the only allow 4 people at a time. They give you a free Covid test but I never got my results, so I had to take another at the airport in order to leave Mexico, so be careful with that.

The resort overall is nice and friendly. The lobby was very clean and smelled fresh. However, my room was very moist and humid inside followed with a strong sewer smell. It was terrible, I complained but nothing was done. The smell lasted my ENTIRE stay. The air barely worked in my room which is probably why it was so humid. The bathroom also had an unpleasant stench as well. After showers I was still hot and sweaty. The food was not that great, but I didn’t expect 5 star meals from an all inclusive resort sadly. Overall the staff was nice but my room experience will prevent me from staying here again.

All inclusive is no joke. All the staff are incredibly nice and very personal. Food is high quality and buffet has great options. The pool is amazing and there is always activities going on. I love staying here and I always feel very VIP for a lack of a better term. First time and cancun and the best I recommend this place to anyone it’s amazing!!

Mi habitación estaba un poco descuidada, no se veía cómo en las fotos, pero me gustó que había mini bar abierto y con botellas. No es de 5 estrellas, hay de 4 estrellas mejores que éste. Le falta mantenimiento a las habitaciones, no hay productos de aseo personal suficientes (por ejemplo no ponen enjuague bucal) y los productos que hay, son de mala calidad, el menú de alimentos fue el mismo durante seis días, el sazón es de comedor industrial, todo al aventón!Y del servicio de varios meseros con mucha discriminación. El jefe de piso del restaurante solo dio un NO como respuesta al preguntarle por cenas ligeras. Fue un rotundo “NO, SÓLO LO QUE HAY EN EL BUFET”.

The experience at Riu Cancun was not a pleasant one at all. From the moment we arrived at the hotel to be accommodated we were told that we would have to wait 3 hours because our room was not ready. Going over it after all the time lost with part of the luggage behind us we end up in the so-called 5-star room. Terrible towels, brown, shabby, and used bows, the only "equipment" the bathroom soap had absolutely nothing left, let alone bathrobes or slippers, when even the shower gel was missing from that plastic dispenser broken, torn sockets, the smell in the moldy room, a king-sized bed was actually a bed made up of two other people. The only beautiful part is the view from the balcony on the 15th floor. Otherwise horrible. About the staff, the attitude leaves much to be desired, a totally aggressive and defiant approach in the proportion of 80%. Cleanliness done in a lax and totally careless manner. Good food, the only thing bothered is that it is not taken into account that it is lunch time and it sweeps right next to you while you eat. I requested a change after the first two days because I paid for a 15 day stay. As a result, they moved us to Riu peninsula, the room was much better, more spacious, but the rest of the management was identical, nothing out of the ordinary. I do not recommend this hotel in any form, conditions that are far too poor in the context of the 5 stars that claim to be their teeth.

The lobby exceeded my expectations, and me and my family were immediately catered with drinks and hospitality the moment we walked into the hotel. Nothing good lasts. We run around the entire area of the hotel trying to find our room, which we found was in a different building. After chasing our own tails finding our room, we entered and were immediately blasted with a moist wind, the room was super damp, probably because it hadn’t been occupied in quite a while. After, we were disgusted to see that the toilet was STAINED YELLOW! It wasputrid, I had to wipe it up and down, all over. Not to mention the shower, the shower head was tilted to the right, and the water was spraying over the wall, when you went and turned the shower head to face towards you, it moved back to the right. Not only that the temperature fluctuates constantly, it’s never consistent, cold, then boiling hot. The food was extremely dry, I felt like I was eating cardboard. The performance and show outside our room was extremely loud and irritating, you could focus on nothing with mariachi, opera, and singing in the background. The only good thing about this place is the drinks and the view.

Beutiful hotel and beautiful beach. 🏖️Staff 10/10 - They were all excellent, they were all welcoming and kind.Food 7/10 - Buffet were good but lacked quality to them, them had these restaurants with themes (steak house, Italian and sushi).... Went to the sushi one and were the first to enter and almost last to serve, staff in there were not so good and some of the food were cold. We ended up leaving and went to the buffet 😂Room 9/10 - The hotel had the most comfortable bed ever, however they had locked doors to other rooms and sometimes could hear the person from the other side.They had free bar fridge and alcohol which they refilled everyday.As for the clothes iron it was not good.

We had a great time here, casual dinner to nice dining, plenty of pool time and options to book excursions right within the hotel. Plan ahead and make a reservation for dinner before going to get ready after the pool.
You can get away with a polo and khakis at pretty much any of the sit down restraints, even a nice t-shirt or henly, but you won't look out of place if you scale it up to pants and a button down either.
Ladies can wear pretty much whatever they want, but nicer dresses were certainly out as well as cocktail and sundresses.
The club on-site is nothing compared to the ones on the strip, but if you're just looking to dance, it is still fun.
Bring a portable speaker as music is only in certain areas and sometimes not on.

Excelente ubicación del hotel en el corazón de Cancún! Para quien quiere la fiesta, es Excelente opción! Muy rica la comida y la atención de su personal es muy cálida y atenta. Lo malo, es que la atención del personal de limpieza de la habitación, no deja todos los artículos de limpieza, siempre faltaba jabón, shampoo, Toallas, pero al pedírselos, las daban, pero el punto es que no debes andar tras ellos pidiéndoles. Pero todo lo demás, Excelente 👌.

El hotel es uno de los 3 RIU en cancunestan Las americas / Palace / Riu cancun. Es Importante saber que tiene 5 estrellas pero es clase B es decir hay varios detalles quelo diferencian . Por temas de pandemia ( segun ellos) cierran losrestaurantespara sanitizarlos y nunca estan abiertos todos a la Vez ,a mi me molesto muchisimo este particular, ademas luego de las 10y40 pm solo hay comida en el sport Bar ( manzanas / nachos / burritos de pollo sandwichde queso) NO puedes pedir comida a la Habitaciónni siquiera pagando ✅la atencion es suficiente , Parca y Binaria o si o no . 😔parece muy riguroso su entrenamiento . ! Hablamos con 2 gerentes ( andrea y otra mujer) para manifestarles nuestros inconvenientes.Las instalacionesson INcreibles . Y una belleza de lugar , la comida es buena y las bebidas tambien, las instalacionesson hermosas y ña ubicacion inmejorable.

Excelente Hotel, primera vez que nos hospedabamos ahí, estuvimos 5 días, me gustaría resaltar la amabilidad de todo el personal quienes en todo momento están al pendiente de que no te falte nada, todos con una excelente actitud, tiene una playa muy linda y limpia. El área de oportunidad que me gustaría comentar es la saturación de los elevadores cuando hay alta ocupación, puedes estar esperando algo de tiempo sobre todo si estás en un piso alto en donde no es factible subir por las escaleras, estábamos en el piso 13 las cuales las habitaciones tenían vista parcial al mar , es decir hay una barda como de 1.5 mts el cual para ver el mar tendrías que estar parado, aunque había otras habitaciones con un mejor balcón, adicional en la habitación en qué estábamos había una puerta de madera la cuál conectaba a otra habitación externa, por aquí el ruido se filtraba demasiado al grado que el huésped de al lado roncaba como ferrocarril e interrumpió mi sueño un par de noches, mientras en otra habitación estaban mis hijas me contaron en la habitación de al lado escucharon lamentos de una mujer y rechinidos de la cama por lo cual les tuve que decir que a lo mejor era una pareja que estaba jugando a la lucha libre y que estaban ahorcando a alguien. En general le doy un 9.5 de calificación,sin duda volveria

Excelente vacaciones!!!! tuvimos la oportunidad de hospedarnos en este Hotel en Diciembre 2021 y quedamos super satisfechos y con muchas ganas de regresar. I loved everything about this hotel that staff is wonderful the food was great and only complain that I have which is not really a complaint but there's not much they can do is the elevators are too small it only fit 4 people at of time I wish that they could make it bigger because the hotel itself can host almost 2000 people and only 4 elevators For the entire building.The pools were nice and clean they have their own covid test inside of the hotel,The beach oh my God the beach is absolutely amazing nice and clean you have chairs that arrive by the water they will bring your drinks from the inside of the bars right up to you in your beach chair.Each room has an ocean view that is what is amazing about this place everybody gets an ocean view I mean everybody. A+++++I will definitely comeback to Riu Cancun.

Rooms are beautiful; we are in a suite.. But the food is horrible, the worst ever!! The people are sweet, and a lot of people are running around without masks, though. I am not complaining, but I wish I would have known how bad the food was, and I would have skipped the all-inclusive. No hot water in the shower, but the jetted bath gets really hot.. tip everyone, regardless.. it's not their fault; the food is so bad. A lot of beautiful people were getting married, that was sweet💞💞💞 it's a pretty young party crowd, I'm pushing 50, so I feel a little old to be here lol.. but the view from the room makes up for what it lacks..

Be Careful!Especially if you need PCR tests for COVIDA group of 25 people went here the week of Dec 19-25.. all Canadians that needed PCR tests to come back.. the hotel doctor performed our tests for $90 a piece .. the weird thing is that a handful of us tested positive and the rest negative.. how is this possible when we all hung out in close proximity for a week??Then we were told to go across the street and get retested … guess what … everyone that was previously positive is not magically negative, the only thing is we each paid another $160 for the test.. and that’s down from $200 that they wanted .. for such a reputable chain the RIU should be ashamed to run such scams for money!!!I will no longer be going to the RIU in any location!Scamming people in such petty ways is no place I want to spend my money with..

We stayed at Riu Cancun from December 17 to December 25. Overall, it was an excellent experience.Restaurants In terms of food, there is a fair amount of selection but I would personally stick to eating at the buffet over the restaurants they have (in particular, I would avoid the Japanese restaurant for it was unauthentic). A big shoutout to Samuel, the host from Turquesa for always giving a hundred percent by being attentive to hotel guests and making our stay memorable.Staff In general, all the hotel staff are diligent and amicable. I would like to give credit to Melissa at the front desk for being efficient with changing our rooms, as they happened to give us the wrong room not associated with the same class as our package, despite having to wait a day.Cleanliness The rooms are always very clean but in terms of towels and/or toiletries distribution, there definitely needs to be a standardization as the number of towels we received every day was different. We always had to put in a request for a foot towel. All housekeeping requests can be done through the Riu app as you can’t reach the front desk through the room phone.PCR Test The PCR test at the hotel is only available from 9 AM to 12:55 PM every day, but this information is not displayed anywhere.Complaint to the Manager A few days prior to departure, we did a PCR test at the hotel. Believing it was the most trustworthy of choices in comparison to doing it outside, the process was surprisingly unprofessional and unreliable. Not only did I not receive an email after testing, but when I went back to the testing counter the next day to follow up on this matter, I was told that the laboratory staff was unavailable for the day. It was a tedious back and forth procedure which contributed to an increased amount of anxiety having to leave the very next day. When we eventually received our reports, the laboratory got the age wrong on one of our reports. What the lab should have really done is have the customers double-check the information on their computers before submitting it.We had one of the front desk staff call the manager to address this problem. He did not introduce himself by name nor did he ask for ours, which should be the fundamental basics of what a manager should do. He merely apologized and while addressing that it is not their problem but the laboratory’s, it should still be the responsibility of a big brand like Riu to ensure that whatever is operated on their grounds to be reliable and trustworthy.In addition, the manager claims to have the revised reports be printed and given to us by midnight by slipping them under our door, but I had to then personally ask the front desk myself to print them out as it never happened. He also claimed to CC me in an email to the laboratory to file a complaint but again this was not followed through. He initially asked me to do this myself, which clearly already demonstrated his insincerity to customer concerns.I sincerely hope that no customers will have to undergo the same experiences as I have aforementioned above regarding COVID testing and that the manager will solemnly do something about how customers’ issues are addressed; not just swept under the rug. If promises are made to do something, they should be followed through. This does not set a good example for the rest of the hotel staff, as problems, regardless of how big or small are crucial steps into ensuring that the reputation of a large hotel chain is maintained.

The management here was negligible, unhelpful and unwelcoming, especially with the enforcement of adequate Covid-19 measures. The representative of Sunwing, Maricella was blatantly arrogant and self-serving. She refused to help us while asking how to properly Quarantine after testing positive for Covid. She instructed us to continuepartaking in the resort activities and nightlife whilst we had the virus. the other staff/employees of the hotel were attentive and productive. I do not recommend the Sunwing package for anyone who expects to be served with respect and empathy, as sunwing does not share these values, if any.

El hotel es muy bonito, de manera general se puede decir que está muy bien. Algunos aspectos necesitan mejorarse, por ejemplo el "Sports Bar". Ofrecen hamburguesas frías, burritos insípidos, perros calientes muy malos, etc., Que debes calentar en un único horno de microondas para el uso de todas las personas. Te llevas varios minutos en calentar lo que vayas a comer.Los restaurantes en general son buenos, pero lo malo es que debes hacer fila para lograr reservar en un restaurante de interés, como el italiano o el japonés, por ejemplo.La playa es bonita y el servicio es bueno. Si volvería, pero me gustaría que mejoraran los puntos que expuse.

Esta muy bonito, buena atención, comida rica y mucho licor. Lo malo es que te sacan de la piscina bien temprano como a las 7 y no ponen música (los mismos huéspedes tienen que estar llevando sus bocinas). Por la pandemia aún no abren la discoteca y tampoco tienen servicio a la habitación con comida o bebidas por lo mismo (ambas se echan de menos ).

Hermoso hotel,buen servicio,yo me alojé en el Riu Yucatan de Playa del Carmen y todos los pasajeros de los Riu pueden visitar,usar instalaciones, beber y almorzar en otros Riu de la misma categoría,previo una solicitud de autorización 24 hs antes, por lo tanto al ir a Cancun fui al Riu Cancun y es espectacular,enorme, excelente ubicación en la zona hotelera de Cancun. La playa es angosta pero el agua, su color y transparencia increíbles. Si no se quiere ingresar al mar se pueden utilizar las piscinas infinitas que están en una especie de balcón elevado,un entorno fantástico.

We had an amazing time. The people working in the resort are so sweet and helpful. They are making sure you enjoy every little bit of it. Whatever you need they will be there for you. The food was always fresh and delicious. Drinks were awesome at absolutely every bar. I want to say special thank you for all the sanitation, constant cleaning and the comfort they provided during COVID. Thank you so much for everything! We will be back!

Spectacular. We got a room upgrade. The staff and service is top notch—always working. Their constant cleaning made the premises sparkle and shine at every turn. Constant activities— better suited to young adults. Close to EVERYTHING. Only had to take the bus or ferry when purposely traveling afar. Drinks, food and amount of children - not impressive. Crying children EVERYWHERE. The ease of taking covid 19 test was unbelievably simple.

I can highly recommend this hotel!
Perfect location nearly to night clubs and bars. Also beautiful private beach section.
At any time friendly and courteous staff.
Outstanding food and restaurants.
At least I have to say that the whole hotel area was clean and well-kept.
Good work ! But that's what Riu stands for...
It was my fourth time in this hotel. (I also tested the other Riu Hotels )

For the all-inclusive: Pretty good, depending on what you paid. The people are very nice. Food ingredients and variety are very good, though not at the level of specialized restaurants. A weak spot is the coffee in the sports bar, which is often the only choice, that really needs to be improved. The location, beach are excellent. Of course since it's an all inclusive there's a party scene, but they were respectful and there's diversity. After five days, it's enough, but I have no real complaints.

Staff were friendly and helpful.Bars were good. However, Would have been nice if they mentioned clearly that 4 of the 5 restaurants are closed. They have one buffet with mediocre food. Only on weekends the other "fancy" restaurant is open for dinner. What's the point of going to a resort if they don't have variety of restaurants.Not worth the money we paid for the hotel. The bedsheets and pillow covers were smelly and had to be changed. Only good thing is good beach access, and walking distance from the clubs.

Péssima experiência. Fiquei hospedada por 6 noites (minha lua de mel) e me arrependo MUITO de ter escolhido este hotel. Eles vendem que tem 4 restaurantes (italiano, japonês, stakehouse e um outro) além do self service “padrão”. Porém de 24 a 29/5 apenas italiano e stakehouse abriram, e detalhe: um por noite. Se vc quiser comer em algum deles, tem que sair cedo da piscina e pegar uma FILA as 18h00 para tentar um lugar. Senão é o self service e pronto, vc vai jantar a mesma coisa que almoçou. Dizem que por causa do COVID só podem abrir um por dia, mas ninguém sabe responder quando pergunto pq abrem sempre os mesmos. O atendimento é uma piada... Cheguei da piscina um dia e meu quarto estava inundado com água da privada. Esperei mais de uma hora para que alguém da manutenção/limpeza aparecesse. Por conta disso cheguei as 19h na fila do restaurante italiano e adivinhem? Lotado, perdi o jantar. Numa outra noite fui MUITO mal atendida pelo “Júlio”, responsável pelo restaurante Stakehouse. Pedi para sentar numa mesa (vazia) com vista para o mar, ele não deixou. Perguntei por que, disse que se fossem limpar eu aguardaria sem problemas... Mas ele gritou qualquer coisa em espanhol e me mandou sentar em outra mesa. 5 minutos depois chegou outro casal e sentou na mesa que queríamos... Esse senhor Júlio me deixou falando sozinha mais de uma vez, não entendo como alguém assim pode trabalhar lidando com o público. É um verdadeiro absurdo. Também tive problemas com o atendimento da recepção. Liguei para pedir uma informação e fui muito mal atendida (o rapaz inclusive desligou na minha cara sem responder o que eu perguntei). Limpeza do hotel deixa MUITO a desejar. Os banheiros da piscina estão sempre sujos, entupidos, sem sabonete e sem álcool gel. Os ralos das duchas para quem sobe da praia lavar a areia dos pés estão todos entupidos. As duchas da piscina estão quebradas. Vi comida boiando na piscina mais de uma vez.O hotel tem tudo para ser ótimo, mas infelizmente está em más condições. O ponto positivo é a localização, perto do centro e num trecho da praia onde o mar é um espetáculo. Mas tenho certeza que existem outras opções de hotel muito mais vantajosas que o Riu Cancún.

I have been to other resorts in Cancun and elsewhere, this was by far the worst one. Upon check in, the lady said my signature on the incidentals receipt did not match my signature on my passport. It took 30 minutes to check in, I had to sign my entire name several times, wait for copies to be made, and someone analyze the handwriting. Are you kidding me? I prepaid for my stay before leaving home with the same card. She even confirmed it was the card. So, the real me paid with my card at home then gave the fake me the same card to charge for incidentals, okay. We rarely had towels or wash cloths. No blankets on the bed. When we asked for a blanket, they brought one that looked like they just took it off a frat boys futon. Our keys did not work often. We couldn't get beach towels because they didn't give us towel cards. Food, what food? A buffet for breakfast and supper, same thing daily. The restaurants were closed, one open each night, so they were packed. The cooler with refrigerated sandwiches, burgers, and hot dogs to microwave - please, that's the only lunch option. The bartenders and staff were not mean, but not friendly compared to other places. The pools did not get cleaned. Lots of debris, like hair, floating. 5 star resort, what a joke!

Instalaciones y comida buffet bien, los restaurantes de especialidad muy ricos y su personal muy amable, en cambio en el buffet nunca me atendieron, siempre tuve que ir yo por los tenedores y cuchillos (qué se supone el mesero reparte) así como café y todo eso, no me explico porque si acostumbramos dejar buena propina. El servicio de Misael y Antonina en bares estuvo excelente, así como del personal en el restauran japones e italiano. No se si volvería por la falta de atención tan notoria siempre en el almuerzo y comida, la verdad si me enojaba ser ignorado mientras a otros loa atendían muy bien.

Excelente hotel! Estuvimos solo 4 días y la atención recibida por todo el personal siempre fue amable y cordial. Las instalaciones son buenas y la comida deliciosa y con gran variedad tanto en el buffet como en los restaurantes temáticos. Lo único que podría mejorar es la hora en que comienzan los shows nocturnos, ya que empiezan temprano y cuando eso sucede todavía hay gente cenando.

To be honest, I really enjoyed it.
The service is very attentive, the all-inclusive formula is unreal, all the rooms are Ocean-view, there is entertainment and a bunch of pools... What else can you possibly need?
I noticed some people said this isn't a 5* hotel. Well, let me address that: surely it isn't the Grand Hotel Vibe you'd get at a 5* in NYC, LA or SF. It is a large, concrete resort in front of the ocean. This said, the view is perfect, the food is good, drinks are *all* unlimited and there are at least 4-5 pools to chose from as well as a large private beach.
This is one of the best bookings I've ever made!

My stay at RIU Cancun was horrible. When I arrived at the hotel they didn't inform me I was at a different tower. I spent a good half hour trying to look for my room and nobody knew where it was. Once I finally found it (extremely far from the front desk) the key was not working. My husband had to run down as I am 7 months pregnant and I could not keep going up and down in that crazy heat (No A/C in the hallways). They told him they had fixed it and he came back up. To our surprise, the key still did not work. He had to go back down again and they kept asking him to make the huge line at the front desk in order to get a new card. Ridiculous. On the next day, we woke up and our room was completely flooded. I got up several times at night, I could have slipped and harmed my baby. When we told the housekeepers they knew what the problem was right away. Apparently it happens a lot, not surprising. We tried to use the phone to call front desk, phone was not working. We went downstairs to the front desk and spoke to them. They told us they could move us to a different room and to go back and pick up the keys at 12pm. We went at 12pm and they asked us to make the line. There were only 2 people working the front desk and the line was huge. We were wasting our vacation time, once again, by making this line when the keys should have been ready and left there for pick up only. We waited half an hour in line until we asked for the Manager. They did not want to call the manager and that's when we got the new keys. Then we went to the Steakhouse and they asked us to wait while our complete party got there to sit us down. As I went to sit on one of the chairs, it completely collapsed, and I fell on the floor. I am 7 months pregnant... This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation and it was the WORST hotel I've stayed at in Cancun. I risked harming my baby so many times – wet floors, dirty utensils and cups, no social distancing (on the website they claim they are being safe with COVID-19), extremely slippery hallways, broken chairs… TERRIBLE experience. Never again.

This hotel seems to have a disdain and lack of care for guests who booked through sites like Priceline. If you book directly with Hotel Riu, you would enjoy a much more relaxed cancellation policy due to Covid-19 - it's cancelable and completely refundable up to the check-in time for any reason, and they offer free shuttle services to direct guests only. I booked through Priceline and because my flight was cancelled a day before my check-in date due to a Priceline mistake, Hotel Riu did not allow me any refund and pocketed 100 percent of my $615 stay, with no offer of a voucher or discount on a future stay. Contacting Riu's staff to cancel my trip and request a refund was also a nightmare. Communication with the hotel could only be established between a designated Hotel Riu representative and Priceline, which resulted in a week-long delay regarding the status of my cancellation and attempted refund. During times like the pandemic, this kind of guest treatment is harsh, uncaring and horrifying if you make the mistake of booking here through a vacation site. If you cancel your stay the day before check-in, unlike other hotels and Airbnb, they hold firm to a severe policy and pocket not 25 percent, not 50 percent, but a HUNDRED percent of your ENTIRE stay, even if it's longer than a week.

Es el segundo año visitando este lugar y la verdad la vez pasada fue increíble y quedamos con ganas de volver pero esta vez nos decepcionamos la verdad el hotel tiene una ocupación de más del 30% muchísimas gente por todos lados. Nada familiar y relajante la verdad si tú mítico de viaje es relajarte y disfrutar tranquilamente esta no es la opción !

We stayed at few different resorts this time , I have been to secrets , dreams, hard rock riveria maya and few other resorts but these people entertainment is the best. Every other resort I usually go out do things but here u wanna stay in. The price is really good way cheaper then any other resort.Their service is amazing from their cleaning staff to the servers.The one thing they could work on is their rooms. They are little old, walls needs touch up and few upgrades as in shower. Over all love the hotel, their entertainment is definitely 5/5, as well service at restaurants 5/5.

Este hotel es la definición perfecta de anuncios engañosos. Nos comunicamos con el Gerente y prefirió cancelar nuestra reserva de 2 noches y 3 días antes q cumplir con su anuncio.This hotel promotes free airport transfer on their website included. What they don’t tell you is that if you don’t get 3 nights they wont honor that offer. This hotel is the perfect definition of misleading ads. We spoke to the Manager who rather cancel ourreservation for 2 nights and 3 days before honoring their ad. Shameless!

Had a really bad experience in RIU Cancun rooms wasn’t clean had to change my room 3 times because of the smell odor. Some of the staff members was very discriminate towards African Americans. I was told that I couldn’t go into a restaurant on because what I had on but a different race was allowed to go in with less clothing than what I had on. I will never spend a dime at this resort again

Todo el personal Super amable, en especial el señor idelfonso, al llegar nos ofrecieron el desayuno, cosa que no había sucedido antes. Lo. Único malo esque entregan las habitaciones muy tarde, hasta las 4pm, aunque puedes hacer usos de las instalaciones. Vengo regresando de nuestras vacaciones y solo vimos que hace falta mas control en cuanto al covid no checa temperaturas al entrar a los restaurantes, en el área de buffet todos agarrar los cubiertos para servirse, deberían poner a personal a servir los alimentos. En cuanto a instalaciones los cuartos son muy pequeños, las áreas de albercas y restaurantes todo muy bien, los shows muy entretenidos igual deberían durar más tiempo, la comida estsba rica y las bebidas dependía mucho quien te las preparará, por que unas no estaban muy ricas. En general disfrutamos nuestra estancia.

La playa y ubicación buenísimas.Lo malo: el de la recepción me quiso impresionar diciéndome que me dieron una mejor habitación, pero fue exactamente lo que pague (king sizes)Ya el cuarto tiene detalles de uso viejo.Lo baños de uso general estaba malísimo olor todo el tiempo y los elevadores sin ventilación (supongo por el tema covid los tenían así)

I will definitely return to Cancun but never to this hotel. We had a group of 7. Our check in and check out experience was a ZERO Star.El gerente del turno nortuno "Fer" tiene pésimo servicio. Necesita más entrenamiento en servico al cliente.Me dejo caro que yo estaba en México y no USA, muy mal servicio y mal ejemplo para el resto de su equipo. Regresábamos a Houston pero todavía no nos tocaba en chrck out y nos armor un show con el agente de seguridad. En ningún lugar en la página web dice que el braselete debe de ser regresado. Al fin disfrute el Spa y el servicio de Irma. Todos los Joses en la alberca y el restaurante. La regla de que no permite llevar la comida al cuarto, cuando no ofrecen servicio al cuarto tendría que ser revisada.El lavamanos tenia una gotera y tardo todo un día en que lo arregalaran. La housekeeper una maravilla pero el resto de el equipo son rudos. Nadie sabe nada y ninguno de ellos "maneja" nada. Te hacen dan vueltas sin razón por un contenedor de hielo, que al final lo tuve que agarrar yo del cuarto de servicio. Por que ni la gente el lobby sabia donde lo podía encontrar. Espero que las estrellas de este hotel bajen para que tomen mejores medidas para entrenar al equipo a ser más placentero. BEWARE, do not book at this RIU.

Antes dar mi opinión pondré el contexto de la situación. RECORDAR QUE ESTAMOS EN "CUARENTENA" POR CORONAVIRUSDicho esto, el hotel SI cumple con los lineamientos de seguridad/higiene. Sin embargo LA ATENCION O SERVICIO creo que no esta a nivel de lo que se espera de RIU. Claramente se ve que están con el personal mínimo para operar.El proceso de check in tardó algo de tiempo, la comida en el buffet no es mala pero de nuevo para el Riu uno espera algo mejor.Finalmente tuvimos un incidente de una "pérdida" de un iPhone en la renta de las motos acuáticas (scuba caribe) dentro del complejo del hotel. Simplemente el personal lo hizo perdediso y lo comunicamos a gerencia, quien no resolvió nada.A pesar de todo esto, creo que igual daría una segunda oportunidad para evaluar el servicio en "tiempos normales" o bien en otro Riu

La atención y actitud de todo el personal muy buena , los meseros muy atentos , los bar tender muy al pendiente , en su propaganda se menciona Room servicie y no se cuenta con el . La higiene de la habitación dejó mucho que desear pues el colchón estaba manchado con vomito. Las almohadas en muy malas condiciones, esperaba una habitación con cama king size y obtuvimos dos camas matrimoniales. Creo que pueden mejorar en ese aspecto.

El hotel está bien,aunque no tienen área de snack cerca de las albercas,la calidad del las bebidas es media, en general la comida del buffet me gusto bastante,y aunque el pedazo de playa es pequeño,esta muy bonito y el agua super Cristalina, nos toco habitación que tiene puerta de conexión con otro cuarto,lo que hace que se escuche mucho ruido de la otra habitación.

My boyfriend and I had a great time . The hotel it self was excellent good food, friendly stuff ,clean hotel,good pool and clean. The beach the so good . We took the red bus to the Cancun sign it was cheap,fast and safe for only $12 Mexican pesos each way . The only frustration was the people in the streets try to sell you activity it was getting so annoying because theirs are harassing you and following you . The area was very safe to walk around cámara every where and police . We love it . We will come back again

The workers are very helpful however most of them barley speak English and a lot of the activities are in Spanish only. The tv only had a few English channels and they’re terrible quality. Due to corona; the pool closes at 7, there’s no dance parties, you can’t go to the sister hotels. None of the activities listed on the app ever happen when or where they’re supposed to and there’s nothing to do between 7 and 9:30 or anytime it rains. They should show movies on the screen at the stage. The elevator and halls are extremelllyyyy hot and the food isn’t very good. Too much seafood

Not a 5 star hotel any longer. Rooms are old and with multiple malfunctions, food is below avarage, the so called "steakhouse " was a joke. This used to be the place to be in some years ago, now I would not recommend you spending your hard earned money for a vacation here. The only good things are the view and the staff trying to make up for the poor decisions management has made on cutting cost - like ceiling fans in outdoor restaurant spaces turned off because they apparently "don't work", or "different menu item" during dinner from left-overs at lunch. Sad experience 😢 on this stay from the last 3 visits here.

If this review can help someone else, please book somewhere else. From the time we arrived, we were given a two bed room regarless of what we booked for of 1 king bed in the Jr suite. It was 7 of us celebrating my wife's bday and our 1st time in Cancun. While the food was good, the view is magnificent, the service we received was the worst one i have ever experienced. The night shift manager "Fer" is arrogant and needs some customer service training. Fer and Pedro theaten us into calling the police because my wife and I wouldn't turned in our wristbands, even tho we explain we were only taking my sisters to the airport, check out is 11 am, it was 3am and were coming back as our flight could have been cancel due to the hurricane coming to Houston. My sistersalmost lost their flight due to this incident. If you booked here ensure you arrive when the morning shift is available, otherwise you are up for bad time with the night shift manager "Fer". Take you money somewhere else.

Great hotel and resort. The first time I took my wife to Cancun we stayed here and were very happy. If you want to have a good time for a couple of days and get away from regular life we recommend here! The grounds were well maintained, the rooms were clean and the pools were well maintained and fun as well. We enjoyed all the food options while there and had no complaints. Staff were all great and accommodating throughout the stay. We would recommend people stay here looking to have a good time! It is also Within walking distance from a lot of fun attractions and clubs and safe to walk from the hotel as they are right across the street.

Terrible terrible terrible, the worst hotel I have ever been to. The service was aggressive and rude. Not helpful and questioned me when I asked a question. Cleanness was terrible, mold in the room and urine in the stall upon arrival. The late night staff on Friday on the overnight shift was incredibly rude to extent that I was extremely offended. Food in the buffet mediocre and the staff informed us that we need to tip him or no service. Who says that? Worst service ever. Will never come again. Would rate a complete zero if I could.

Not impressed! The decor is off, the rooms are EXTREMELYbasic and outdated! We wanted to go out on the beach and couldn't because nobody cleaned the seaweed off. It took me THREE times to go down to the lobby, because nobody would answer the phone, for someone to remove the sheets with make up stains that they put on the bed...I DON'T WEAR MAKE UP! The people were nice and accommodating though. I don't know if these things wouldn't happened on a regular basis, in "non-pandemic" times but I was Disappointed. I've been to other RIU resorts and this one fell short by alot!

I’m sensitive to the conditions of COVID-19, however, our experience at the Riu Hotel Cancún was uncomfortable. The staff did not inform us about simple things like WiFi or how the electricity works or that we needed a towel card from the front desk, just to get beach towels (even though we already had all inclusive wristbands). The floor that we were originally on smelled of gasoline, so we requested a room change. We were told to make requests through their app which helped a little. The rooms were terrible. Outdated is an understatement. The rooms are pretty much ancient with hair on the walls and dust on the vents. The walls were thin. We could hear the tv and smell cigarette smoke from the adjacent rooms. At one point, our keys stop working completely. Their all inclusive package offers the bare minimum of all amenities. There were zero face towels in our room and when we requested them, they brought up ONE for two people. We had to re-request them. We were constantly flagging down staff for assistance and at one point, one staff member ignored us entirely. The food and food service is okay if you like buffet style food and the restaurants are okay if you can catch them when they’re open. The liquor was hit or miss. We would get hot wine on occasion and the liquor choices were limited. The beaches were a bit disgusting with bottle tops, fruit and trash in the sand. The plastic beach chairs were less than comfortable. However, in the midst of all of the this, we did find that the spa was wonderful—though pricey for couples. We loved our Ocean Harmony couples massage. Also, housekeeping came by our rooms everyday and the views were great. We left a tip for the staff in our room but we won’t be returning to this location.

The location is close to some Mexican culture and resturants as well as Isle of Mujeres. The room was cheap and there were no extras and there was an odor. Also, the beach was not cleaned of seaweed like the neighboring hotels were. Also, there was only one resturant/buffet open for breakfast and lunch and it was not good.

El hotel es una buena opción a pesar de la situación de covid.Mi experiencia en el hotel ha sido buena, en ningún momento me sentí en riesgo por el covid, el personal siempre uso mascarilla y gel antibacterial. Es suficiente la cantidad de gel antibacterial qué hay en el hotel, incluso la ocupación de los cuartos se alternado. Las huéspedes fueron aumentado conforme a los días que estuve pero es muy grande el hotel permitiendo respetar la distancia de seguridad.En cuanto a las instalaciones parece ser que es un hotel dedicado a personas jóvenes que les gusta la fiesta, el alcohol y sus bebidas de buena calidad. Suficientes camastros, las albercas cuidadas y amplias, la playa linda donde puedes bañarte.Los puntos de vista malo: la higiene de la playa es regular, no quitaban el sargazo diario y quedaba basura de un día anterior. Las habitaciones no tenían suficientes insumos de jabón, champú y toallas. El show de espectáculos pésimo, La comida de regular calidad, sin nada memorable. Los meseros usan guantes y eso da una falsa sensación de seguridad, en el restaurante a veces hay aglomeraciones.

The 4 agents there were consumed in conversation amongst themselves rather than the guest. Very unprofessional and unpleasant. All around.Was not given direction to the elevators, dining rooms or how to make our way to the pool or beach area. Changed rooms because it STANK like mold, ac vent was filled with dust and bedroom sheets were humid as well as the room. A staff member advised it was due to the breeze of the sea. Um, wrong! I was at another beach front hotel prior to this one and much closer to the sea and no humidity was detected in the room. Sheets were muggy and unclean. Oh and ceiling fan was also filled with dust.Changed rooms but yet again staff at the front desk were rude about it. This room also stank, restroom, closet and yet again ceiling fan was dusty dusty dusty! NOT worth the time or money! Horrible experience from booking to checkout time. Inattentive, impolite, dirty "ratchet" staff. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Everything is basic and there is nothing to do after the nightly show about 1030pm.No swim up pool bar and your required to wear face mask each time you go to order a drink.Food is just ok. Definitely need more nightly food options. They will have just a few select things in a cooler at the sports bar you heat up in microwave. No room service or snacks.Cant play pool in the sports bar.Still had a lot of fun and the fit people try to keep you entertained with what they have to work with. They also keep the place very clean. Waiter to bring drinks along beach sometimes took a while. Covid kind of messed up the vibe too. Masks required when ordering at the bar. Hand sanitizer every where. Service was good with the exception of Christian host at La Toscana. He was rude. Renè front desk manager and Fer very helpful in upgrading the Room and upon check out. Had a fantastic view of the ocean and beach, but the mini bars were missing liquor probably due to the pandemic and there are no king size beds only double beds. The sofa bed is not a bed. It is a foldable futon with Very hard mattress and uncomfortable. you have to use the RIU app to request housekeeping or maintenance services. The response time is mixed. They Came to fix the toilet quickly but took a long time to deliver towels.The buffet was average but the breakfast Part was very good along with the service of Avimael. Very attentive. Mike at La Punta bar is also a very good bartender. He made the best drinks.Overall it is a great value because of the all inclusive drinks and the vibe of the entire grounds is fun and clean.

Had an amazing 10 nights stay in May last year for our honeymoon, we got champagne and fruit basket on arrival. Cleaners were fantastic leaving petals and towel animals on our bed and general cleaning duties. Food at the hotel was nice, the pizza bar was fantastic and the steak restaurant was lovely. Staff were so kind and really really happy to bring you drinks while at the beach for a tip which we didn't mind. Even the staff who cleaned the seaweed from the seafront early every morning did a fantastic job, if I were to go back I'd go back to this hotel x thank you to everyone

The rooms were somewhat basic but you shouldn’t be going here just to spend time inside. Has a bar/small club inside the hotel which is hit and miss. You’ll have fun if u go here!

Cuando llegué me gusto sus instalaciones, pero realmente me desilusiono visitar sus restaurantes pero en particular el Kulinarium que los meseros groseros, prepotentes, hace demasiado frío ya que el aire acondicionado al máximo cuando en el pasillo temperatura de 26*. Después pedí un corte de carne 🥩 y me la dieron Seca y quemada. Al pedir que me lo cambiaran se enojaron y dijeron que seria igual pero en eso otros turistas se sumaron a mi inconformidad, porque también les paso lo mismo. Pésimo servicio!!

El lugar, el hotel, la playa y todas las instalaciones son hermosas, sin embargo, yo asistí a RIU CANCÚN pensando que que iba a ser una experiencia padrísima como la pasé en RIU MAZATLAN, Y NO FUE ASI. La comida era insípida, lo único bueno eran las cenas en los restaurantes de reservación. Nunca abrieron el Japonés y quedé insatisfecha. Los meseros no fueron nada amables, ninguno de ellos, notamos que en este hotel si le dan mucha preferencia al extranjero y nosotros como nacionales pues si lo notamos. Por ende, no queremos regresar ahí, y mejor nos quedamos con la experiencia buenísima del RIU Mazatlán.

This was absolutely the best vacation for my hubbies 40th birthday. Staff is amazing, hotel is fabulous and food was great. I would definitely recommend staying here. The only downfall to the hotel is actually the rooms. They were decent but had the bare minimums. The fridge is stacked with water, soda and beer, along with a self serve hanging bar dispenser (all for free). If you didn't come to stay in the rooms then you won't mind, as we didnt. Live shows by awesome groups of young people. None stop bar service from multiple bars. Beautiful outdoor pools. Riu Cancun, thanks for an amazing vacation!

I give it a 4 because the view was amazing. The location was perfect for navigating outside of the resort. The pools were pretty and our Amstar rep was great. The excursions were gorgeous! The downside is that the rooms are MUY FRIO and they only have sheets. It took over an hour and a half after 4 times outreaching front desk to get some form of a blanket. We tried to turn up the temperature but the thermostat did not work very well in my opinion. The food was a hit or miss. Going to the restaurant in the resort was better than the buffet. The wine was not that great either. Overall I enjoyed my time there... Oh yea they gave a complimentary bottle of tequila to me for my birthday and decorated my bed! That was cute. The overall experience was great. We were able to work around the other nuisances.

We had a beautiful view, our room was super clean. A bit noisy at some point, but still.We had a great service in some restaurant, except the Steak house where 2 of the employees weren’t so happy to be there (and they clearly showed it). Also, the little store sells some expired items and they told us « no refund » and completely ignored us, which wasn’t nice at all.Except that, the beach, the shows, the staff in general was awesome! Also the little club!

There was a receptionist, he was a jerk from the start. He was the only one annoying. Rest of them were amazing. Me encantó todo de RIU CANCÚN.Hotel seguro, con excelente ubicación, hermoso lugar en general, instalaciones muy modernas y lindas, personal altamente capacitado, muy buena atención por parte de todos( recepcionistas, mozos, bartenders, mucamas, cocineros, bailarines, etc)habitaciones grandes, con excelente vista y cómodas, excelente calidad y variedad de comida, amplia variedad de menú para todos los gustos y muy buen servicio de entretenimiento y espectáculos. Sinceramente mi experiencia fue perfecta. Totalmente recomendable.No es un hotel barato pero vale la pena pagar cada peso de estadía en el hotel.

Todo muy agradable, hasta nuestro último día ya que nos robaron nuestros celulares DENTRO DEL HOTEL.Quisimos hablar con los dos Gerentes del Hotel pero nos dijeron que "no se encontraban ninguno de los dos", nos comentaron que iban a investigar nuestro problema, que mandáramos un correo explicando toda la situación y que se harían responsables de ello ya que todo ocurrió (repito) dentro del hotel. Resulta ser que el correo que nos dieron NO EXISTE, volvimos a marcar para preguntar nuevamente por otros correo para escribir nuestro caso y nos dieron otros dos que TAMPOCO EXISTEN.Hemos marcado ya 4 veces, pero al final de cuentas nos terminan ignorando, ya nos comentaron que no somos las primeras personas a las que les hacen lo mismo (robo de celulares dentro del hotel). Tendremos que proceder con demanda debido a que nos les interesa para nada el bienestar de los huéspedes ya que están permitiendo que ocurran este tipo de eventos

We had an ocean view suite and had no complaints about the room. It was clean, even if basic, had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The restaurants were better than I thought they would be based on the reviews, especially if you eat outside the buffet. The 24hour good at the sports bar was horrible, you have to microwave a burger, dog or burrito from the fridge. Drinks were plenty, the night club while basic was fine. Pools very nice and plenty of chairs. Beach access is fantastic. Local shopping wasn’t great but if you walk a bit there are some okay spots. Service and staff were very good.

Restaurants better than average for an all inclusive.But while the maids clean inside the resort all day there is only a nice young man picking up empty cups on the pool deck.We have sat In the same chairs for five days and with the same old piece if lime under us and the same popped balloon and cigarette butt.Why isn’t anyone cleaning the pool deck at night!?

You will not find a better view than this. Absolutely amazing place. This is probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I would definitely go back! I loved my room it was very big and spacious. The view from my room of the ocean was very beautiful. They even acknowledged my birthday by sending me a note with a bottle of tequila. Everyone here is very friendly. The hotel keeps guest entertained during the day and night. The food was okay. I like how most of the restaurants were buffet style. I really enjoyed the steakhouse restaurant! I also love how the hotel is walking distance to the strip where all of the clubs are. When I come back to Cancún I will definitely be staying here again!

Best secluded hotel in the area. Friendly service that can’t be beat. Make sure you try all the restaurants and ask for double on drinks because they are initially weak, but they will accommodate if you ask! If we come back I will definitely ask for this room : junior ocean suite. Best views, see pictures. Also included a jacuzzi and bar.

Nov 2019 - The view from our Junior Suite was so pretty. It was nice to sit on the balcony and listen to the ocean in the morning and at night. That was relaxing! During the day it got pretty loud because the pool was so close. It was also disappointing when people on nearby balconies were smoking. I hate cigarette smoke. Yuck! We also had a couple of days without hot water but we just looked at that as part of the adventure!The staff at the Riu was very friendly. We tried all of the restaurants and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the Japanese restaurant was.While this resort wasn't as good as I hoped it would be, I still think I would be willing to go back. The beach at this location was enjoyable.

I cannot rate this hotel and its staff highly enough (with a few small exceptions like being charged 3000 pesos to get a higher floor & a poor experience at the Japanese restaurant). The staff were excellent and Antonio who attended our room was simply outstanding.The location was great, pools fantastic and the beach superb. Whilst the pools were noisy the atmosphere was lovely and the beach and further away pool provided quiet relaxation.We will definitely revisit Riu hotels and will be hard pushed to find a better experience than the Riu Cancun.Thank you for a great experience, great food and pure relaxation.David SavageNorthern Ireland

Location is great. Food is mediocre at best. Sushi was really bad.... Rice was overcooked and rice to vinegar ratio is all off.... Best place to eat there is Italian. Don't even try steakhouse, you'll have better food at general buffet place. Paella was good and so did tempura ice cream. The room has nice view but that's about it. It's so moist in the room, never can get the room cool. Bed was uncomfortable.

my friend and I stayed in Riu Cancun, we had a really bad experience at this hotel, don't look at the star for this hotel, it's not even 2-star hotelsuper basic roomthe fridge was disgusting with lots of Mold and Rusty as you can see at the picture. the pillow was super flat and not comfortable with lots of germs spot in the pillowcases and bed sheetsdirty chairs, disgusting drawerit wasn't any separate shower gel, lotion, shampoo and conditioner just one soap dispensers with 2 in 1 shampoo/shower gel (evidence enclosed). it was my first time, I saw something like this, it's like a public shower, I stayed in a different hotel, motel before, but never ever seen something like that.also no coffee maker machine in the roomwhen we complain about our room, the hotel supervisor said we can change your room to a bigger room, but here is a standard hotel so all the rooms had the same stuff.no customer service at all.most of the restaurant was only for dinning, and they were connected to the main restaurant which was International Buffet.basically not lost of options to eat, compared to other all inclusive hotelfood quality was okay, but pastries weren't great at allnobody cleaned the beach, so it was lots of seaweed and rocks at the beachI do not recommend this hotel to anyone, do not waste your money for this hotel.I wish we search more before deciding to choose this hotel, we didn't enjoy our holiday at all

We had a really nice time here! Everything was always clean. Everyone was super nice and helpful. We enjoyed all the different restaurants. There is algae on the beach that makes the water look black, and it gets tangled in your legs if you go in the ocean. That really sucks, but nothing anyone can do about it! There were many young people at the hotel, and it definitely seemed like a party place.

Staff are lovely and welcoming at this hotel but sadly does not live up to advertised 4 star rating. No bathrobes, slippers or toiletries- in London that is an expectation of this sort of rating. Bedrooms are dated and in desperate need of updating. Also because of humidity in need of upgrading. Also a resort that is targeted at partygoers lots of excessive drinking and poor behaviour around pool areas.However, food is good with a great selection and variety of fresh fruit.

We enjoyed our time here in October. Wasn't too crowded, had good service, treated us very nice in general. Food was good and we liked that we didn't need reservations for the restaurants. Only complaint was being surrounded by people smoking and who obviously didn't care that we had a small child with us. We would simply move to another spot when it happened so it wasn't the worst situation.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained appearing new but I don't know how old it is, the location is great and not too far from the airport.I also liked that the transportation to and from the airport is included with your all inclusive package. The beach is breathtaking.The pool, bar and outside lounging area are very nice, the bartenders keep the drinks going and are very friendly. Overall my experience was good but couldn't give it 5 stars because the food was just okay and wish there was better variety and the entertainment was disappointing.

Stayed here in the beginning of April for a long weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Amazing atmosphere. They even gave us a room with an amazing view. Este hotel no debería ser considerado 5 estrellas. Habitaciones antiguas, ascensor malogrado por tres días sin solución, no aceptan dólares, poca variedad en los restaurantes salvo el buffet, alimentos termino medio. Las fotos hablan por si solas.

La atención es excelente. La comida del buffet cumple sin ser excelente. El restaurante asiático Kawachi sirve muy buenas opciones. La Pool-Bar en ocasiones se ensucia muy rápido por las bebidas derramadas. La ambientación nocturna sirve para calentar motores antes de salir a una disco.

Hotel de 5 estrellas que a mí entender no cumple con la relación precio calidad. Si bien es muy lindo, es un hotel de 30 años y le falta tecnología. Las toallas que entregan son a veces viejas, la bebida no es de primera calidad (los jugos no son exprimidos, una sola línea de cerveza y rubia).
