O Castle Hotel e jardim foram impressionantes fora embora teria sido bom ter mais áreas de estar ao redor do jardim para se sentar. No entanto, garrafas de bebida à esquerda na grama .... não há lixeiras !! O interior, no entanto, era muito pobre. Definitivamente precisa de uma boa pintura. Gesso caindo das paredes etc. Portas nos quartos... pintura todos saindo... rodapés arranhados. Portas de lavanderia e áreas de funcionários ...portas deixadas abertas para os hóspedes verem enquanto passam. . Uma grande geladeira depositada no corredor do corredor do quarto. A equipe foi falta de entusiasmo e personalidade. Comida pobre. Quando descemos para o café da manhã, ninguém nos mostrou uma mesa. Tivemos que pedir para que a comida fosse reabastecida, pois nada restava ... incluindo o café. Eles levaram séculos para trazê-lo. Quando chegou, nenhum pedido de desculpas a todos, embora a fila naquela época fosse grande. Refeição no restaurante foi média e tivemos que pedir talheres ... novamente levou séculos para vir e refeição esfriando. Nenhum pacote de informações no quarto ... bem, pelo que pudemos ver de qualquer maneira. Os quartos básicos e modernos certamente não são o que você esperaria de quão bonito parece do lado de fora. Ficaríamos no Castle Hotel novamente ... NÃO !! Será que nós recomendo a ninguém ... NÃO !!!

The Castle Hotel and grounds were stunning outside although it would have been nice to have more seating areas around the garden to sit. However, drink bottles left on the grass....no bins !!
The interior however was very shabby. Definitely in need of a good paint. Plaster falling off the walls etc. Doors on rooms...paint all coming off...skirting boards scuffed.
Laundry doors and staff areas ...doors left open for guests to see as they walk past. . A large fridge deposited in a bedroom hallway corridor.
The staff were lacking in enthusiasm and personality. Food poor. When we came down to breakfast no one showed us to a table. We had to ask for food to be refilled as nothing left ...including the coffee. They took ages to bring it. When it arrived no apologies to everyone although the queue by that time was large. Meal in the restaurant was average and we had to ask for cutlery ...again took ages to come and meal getting cold. No information pack in the bedroom ...well from what we could see anyway. Rooms basic and modern certainly not what you would expect from how beautiful it looks from the outside. Would we stay in the Castle Hotel again....NO !! Would we
recommend to anyone else...NO !!!

I am rating the spa instead of the rooms as we went to spa, didn't stay. Spa leaves a lot to be desired. Had afternoon tea which was wonderful. The ground are very nice

An equal portion of history comfort and friendliness I’ve never experienced before. The grounds are amazing and spooky at night . The meals were exceptional and the bar is one of my favorites with a mind boggling collection of Welsh whiskey. The staff from the front desk to the kitchen to the night watchman/maintenance went above and beyond making this stay magical.

Adoráveis quartos grandes e cama, toalhas brancas macias e roupa de cama. Travesseiros e cama confortáveis, além de marca. Café da manhã básico, mas bom. Os jardins são fantásticos com pavões, coelhos, situados em excelente localização para passeios turísticos. Os quartos poderiam fazer com carpete fresco e pintura. Mas isso aumentaria o preço. Eu voltaria novamente.

Encantadoras habitaciones y cama grandes, toallas y ropa de cama blancas y suaves. Cómodas almohadas y cama, además de marca. Desayuno básico pero agradable. Los jardines son fantásticos con pavos reales, conejos, ubicados en una excelente ubicación para hacer turismo. A las habitaciones les vendría bien una moqueta y pintura frescas. Pero eso subiría el precio. Volvería de nuevo.

What a thoroughly enjoyable visit. It was wonderful to be able to wander both inside and out. Lovely outdoor seating areas, with the added attraction of all the peacocks. We had a full afternoon tea which was very enjoyable. Staff lovely and friendly. Plenty of parking.

Teve uma pequena pausa aqui. Construção muito bem cuidada. Quarto de muito bom tamanho. Teve uma refeição noturna incluída no negócio. Eu tinha porco, preparados perfeitamente, recomendo esta refeição. Os pavões eram muito mansos, motivos excelentes. Tivemos uma curta caminhada em Ruthin, pequena vila muito bonita, estava muito quieta em nossa visita. No geral, alguns dias excelentes.

Edifício absolutamente lindo e jardins encantadores com as ruínas do antigo castelo e muitos pavões! ! O quarto era bom e limpo, e a cama era muito confortável. O jantar no restaurante foi muito bom. O bar da biblioteca era adorável para sentar com algumas bebidas. Os funcionários foram todos muito adoráveis e amigáveis. A única ligeira desvantagem para nós foi que encontramos o café-da-manhã muito gorduroso para o nosso gosto pessoal, (mas toda a gente parecia estar a gostar) e não havia salsichas vegetarianas. Mais alguns saquinhos de chá e rolos de papel higiênico no quarto seria uma boa ideia. Fora isso, com certeza voltaríamos, pois adoramos e recomendamos.

¡Un edificio absolutamente hermoso y hermosos jardines con las ruinas del antiguo castillo y muchos pavos reales! La habitación era bonita y limpia, y la cama era muy cómoda. La cena en el restaurante fue realmente buena. El bar de la biblioteca era encantador para sentarse con un par de copas. todo el personal era muy encantador y amable. El único pequeño inconveniente para nosotros fue que el desayuno nos pareció demasiado grasiento para nuestro gusto personal (pero todos los demás parecían estar disfrutándolo) y no había salchichas vegetarianas. Unas cuantas bolsitas de té y rollos de papel higiénico más en la habitación sería una buena idea. Aparte de eso, definitivamente regresaríamos porque nos encantó y lo recomendamos encarecidamente.

Tuve un breve descanso aquí. Edificio muy bien cuidado. Habitación de muy buen tamaño. Tenía una cena incluida en el trato. Comí cerdo, perfectamente preparado, recomendaría encarecidamente esta comida. Los pavos reales eran muy mansos, los jardines eran excelentes. Dimos un corto paseo hasta Ruthin, un pequeño pueblo muy bonito, fue muy tranquilo en nuestra visita. En general, unos días excelentes.

Absolutely beautiful building and lovely grounds with the ruins of the old castle and loads of peacocks!! The room was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The evening meal in the restaurant was really good. The library bar was lovely for sitting with a couple of drinks. The staff were all very lovely and friendly. The only slight downside for us was that we found the breakfast too greasy for our personal taste, (but everyone else seemed to be enjoying it) and there were no vegetarian sausages. A few more teabags and toilet rolls in the room would be a good idea. Other than that we would definitely return as we loved it and would highly recommend it.

A apenas devolvido de uma estadia de fim de semana no castelo e foi adorável. O lugar tem 800 anos e cheio de personalidade, muito bom e situado em alguns jardins encantadores com belas vistas e pavões vagando. O bloqueio quase foi o fim das coisas para eles e, como tal, há menos funcionários do que o normal, mas apesar da equipe estar extremamente ocupada, eles foram gentis e prestativos durante toda a nossa estadia. O restaurante foi excelente e a comida de primeira. Ficamos muito satisfeitos e voltaríamos.

Eu tive uma estadia agradável por causa da empresa que eu estava. No entanto, parece que a falta de pessoal está dificultando a prestação de um serviço que prometem oferecer (spa). Depois de ler comentários, parece que isso está acontecendo há um tempo, então não entendo por que o gerente do spa estava agindo surpreso quando chegamos e ela disse que só poderia oferecer 25 minutos de massagem em vez de 50 minutos cada. Também nos foi oferecido um "banho de lama" para compensar a massagem alterada. Era um banheiro frio com assentos e uma tigela de lama. Isso não é literalmente um exagero. Foi hilário! Acabamos de ficar na área sem nos dizer o que fazer ou o que o tratamento implicava :') A banheira de hidromassagem era adorável e ficamos lá por algumas horas com bebidas. Os funcionários estavam vestidos com agasalhos / roupas casuais, o que era um pouco estranho O Spa só precisa ser fechado até que possam prestar um serviço adequado. Samantha na recepção foi incrível, tão acolhedora, ela é uma cara boa do Ruthin Castle, muito acolhedora. A suíte era adorável, os jardins são bonitos, jantar era lindo, mas o café da manhã é questionável. Não valeu o dinheiro que pagamos, mas eu me diverti muito, porque rimos da estranheza de tudo :') Para uma estadia em hotel e comida estava tudo bem. O spa foi salvo pela banheira de hidromassagem, mas precisa de uma solução.

Tuve una estadía agradable debido a la compañía con la que estaba. Sin embargo, parece que la escasez de personal les dificulta brindar un servicio que prometen ofrecer (spa). Después de leer las reseñas, parece que esto ha estado sucediendo durante un tiempo, así que no entiendo por qué el gerente del spa estaba sorprendido cuando llegamos y dijo que solo podía ofrecer un masaje de 25 minutos en lugar de 50 minutos cada uno. También nos ofrecieron un "baño de barro" para compensar el cambio de masaje. Era un cuarto de ducha fría con asientos y un cuenco de barro. Esto no es literalmente una exageración. ¡Fue hilarante! Nos acabamos de quedar en el área sin que nos dijeran qué hacer o qué implicaba el tratamiento :') El jacuzzi era encantador y nos quedamos allí unas horas con bebidas. El personal vestía chándal/ropa informal, lo cual era un poco extraño El spa solo necesita cerrarse hasta que puedan brindar un servicio adecuado. Samantha en la recepción fue increíble, muy acogedora, es una buena cara de Ruthin Castle, muy acogedora. La suite era preciosa, los jardines son bonitos, la cena era preciosa pero el desayuno es cuestionable. No valió la pena el dinero que pagamos, pero la pasé muy bien a pesar de todo porque nos reímos de la incomodidad de todo :') Para una estancia de hotel y comida estuvo bien. El spa fue salvado por la bañera de hidromasaje, pero necesita una solución.

Just returned from a weekend stay in the castle and it was lovely. The place is 800 years old and full of character, really nice and set in some lovely grounds with beautiful views and peacocks wandering around. Lockdown very nearly was the end of things for them and as such there are fewer staff than normal but despite the staff being extremely busy they were kind and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant was excellent and the food first rate. We were really pleased and would return.

I had a nice stay because of the company I was with. However, it seems that staff shortages are making it difficult for them to provide a service they promise to offer (spa). After reading reviews it seems this has been going on for a while so I don't understand why the spa manager was acting surprised when we arrived and she said she could only offer 25 minute massage instead of 50 minutes each. We were also offered a "mud bath" to make up for the changed massage. It was a cold shower room with seats in and a bowl of mud. This is literally not an exaggeration. It was hilarious! We just got left at the area without being told what to do or what the treatment entailed :') The hot tub was lovely and we stayed in there for a few hours with drinks. Staff were dressed in track suits/ casual wear which was a bit odd The Spa just needs shutting until they can provide a proper service. Samantha at reception was amazing, so welcoming, she is a good face of Ruthin Castle, very welcoming. The suite was lovely, the grounds are pretty, evening meal was gorgeous but the breakfast is questionable. It wasn't worth the money we paid but I had a lovely time regardless because we laughed at the awkwardness of it all :') For a hotel stay and food it was fine. The spa was saved by the hot tub but needs a sort out.

Considerando que eles eram obviamente muito curtos, as pessoas que trabalhavam fizeram um ótimo trabalho para agradar a todos, desde a recepção até a equipe da sala de jantar. Reservamos com Groupon. £135 para um quarto standard, refeição de 2 pratos com uma garrafa de vinho e café da manhã. O quarto era ótimo, com uma cama confortável incrível, chá e café, além de um banho à moda antiga. O jantar tinha uma grande seleção, café da manhã tanto quanto você queria. Por esse preço, você realmente não poderia culpá-lo. O interior do castelo é incrível e os pavões vagam pelos jardins. Após o jantar, realmente gostamos de relaxar com uma bebida ao redor da lareira, onde conhecemos outro casal local que foi muito amigável. O castelo está em uma cidade muito pitoresca à moda antiga que vale a pena passear. Nós definitivamente voltaremos e gostamos de se vestir e sentir o senhor e a senhora da mansão para uma noite. Recomendo vivamente uma visita!

Teniendo en cuenta que obviamente tenían muy poco personal, las personas que trabajaban hicieron un gran trabajo para complacer a todos, desde la recepción hasta el personal del comedor. Reservamos con Groupon. £135 por una habitación estándar, comida de 2 platos con una botella de vino más desayuno. La habitación era genial, con una cama increíblemente cómoda, té y café, además de un baño antiguo. La cena tenía una gran selección, desayuno tanto como quisieras. Por ese precio realmente no te puedes quejar. El interior del castillo es asombroso y los pavos reales deambulan por los jardines. Después de la cena, disfrutamos mucho relajándonos con una bebida alrededor de la chimenea, donde conocimos a otra pareja local que fue muy amable. El castillo se encuentra en un pintoresco pueblo antiguo que vale la pena pasear. Definitivamente regresaremos y disfrutamos vistiéndonos y sintiéndonos señor y señora de la mansión por una noche. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita!

Considering they were obviously very short staffed the people working did a great job to please everyone, from reception to dining room staff. We booked with Groupon. £135 for a standard room, 2 course meal with a bottle of wine plus breakfast. The room was great with an amazing comfy bed, tea and coffee plus old fashioned bath. Dinner had a great selection, breakfast as much as you wanted. For that price you really couldn't fault it. The interior of the castle is amazing and peacocks roam around the grounds. After dinner we really enjoyed relaxing with a drink around the open fire where we met another local couple who were really friendly. The castle is in a lot quaint old fashioned town which is worth a wander around. We will definitely go back and enjoyed dressing up and feeling lord and lady of the manor for an evening. Heartily recommend a visit!
