A fun stay! Sadly only spent one night here. From the second we pulled up the staff had service on their mind directing me to the reception desk for a speedy check-in in the beautiful lobby. The room was nice, clean, and spacious. Marriott beds have gotten so comfy! We choose this property because of the pools and we were so happy with them! The pool areas were busy but not crowded we easily got towels and sunning chairs poolside. The water was chilly! It is still early in the warm season, I imagine come summer that water will be great! Hot tubs were also busy but we did find space there too. This property is beautifully designed, we looked how the buildings, pools, and paths were all integrated into the desert mountainside. Do take time to explore the trails to the top of the buttes. Also highly recommended the Top of the Rock restaurant. It will be getting its own review. The food and service were great.

This was my fourth time staying here spread out over maybe the past 15 years. We were there for spring training, great location! This was my wife and sons first time staying. With the room, parking, and resort fees, it comes to $450/night on a weekend. It’s just not worth that amount solely due to the room conditions. They’re outdated. No place on earth that still has popcorn ceilings should be charging that amount. Bathrooms outdated. Furniture outdated. If you are handicapped in a wheelchair or have a baby in a stroller like we did, it’s extremely difficult to get around the pool areas and some of the exit door areas. It’s stair city. The brunch in the morning has kinda been a tradition for me, but was rather disappointing this time. The gentleman making the omelettes sadly had an emergency medical occurrence just as we were getting sat, so the staff seemed to be on edge throughout which is totally understandable. We hope he was okay! Our disappointment was the food related to the price. It just simply wasn’t that good. You’re paying for the pools and location, plain and simple. If you don’t use the pools for at least a full day then there is honestly no point in staying here until they do a complete remodel.

This place is so well located, the proximityto Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler and so on is within 20 minutes drive. We stayed here for a couple of days over a long weekend and we enjoyed our stay. I didn't like the reception area except for the waterfall in the background and right next to the restaurant. My kids loved the pool, the little trails to take a walk and the nice views of the city. We didn't try the food here so I have no comments about that. Overall a good experience.

Been regular customers here for over 9!yrs and yes the rooms need a major make over. Starbucks is gone and replace with some decent coffee. If your not happy with your room, demand management attention and be nice about it. *:} It’s great to see Familiar friendly faces such as Josie at the cafe. She goes above and beyond with her services. Ask for her and she’ll delight your morning to a great start! She’s been a royal employee there for over 12 years.

We had a party of nine. We reserved three rooms. The pool was really nice the view from the hots tubs was really beautiful. We got three two bed rooms. My particular room had a television that wasn't working right. So the sent Chris the maintenance tech to check it out. It wasn't fixable right away so they moved us to an upgraded king room. The front desk reception Matthew assisted with the room upgrade and help extend our stay for the next day. They both are the most exceptional upper echelon customers service I have received in a long time. The bar tenders are super sweet. The location is excellent. If I could say one small change the resort could use a renovation. It is slightly outdated. Room service was perfect as well. I will definitely try and return next time we visit Arizona.

I came here for a work gathering, and I do not have any complaints. The rooms are standard hotel rooms. The location is top notch. It’s super close to the airport and other outdoor activities in the area. The view is gorgeous with the mountains in the distance and the city up close and personal. I recommend doing some hiking in the South Mountain Preserve and visiting the botanic garden. There’s a filter water refill station in the fitness center on the third floor where you can get freezing cold water; it will offer some reprieve from Arizona’s blazing climate. There are four tennis courts, and you can rent out rackets and balls from the lobby.

Cheguei aqui ontem e acho que não quero ir embora. Sempre 😊 o hotel parece uma mansão particular. Fica no alto e as vistas são incríveis. Nosso quarto fica no prédio mais novo e é privado, limpo, espaçoso e tem um lindo chuveiro de vidro com produtos realmente bons fornecidos. Sinto que estou no paraíso tropical com a cachoeira do lado de fora e a vegetação. Sentei-me lá esta manhã apreciando o silêncio e os pássaros. Eu recomendo este hotel!!

Just got here yesterday and I don't think I want to leave. Ever 😊 the hotel looks like a private mansion. It's sits up high and the views are amazing. Our room is in the newest building and it's private,clean, spacious and has a gorgeous glass shower with really good products provided. I feel like I am in tropical paradise with the waterfall outside room and the greenery. I sat out there this morning enjoying the quiet and the birds. I highly recommend this hotel!!

This hotel is absolutely lovely. It is build into the butte and really wonderfully incorporated into the nature that surrounds it. The pools and 3 hot tubs are great, wonderful views all around, friendly staff, and there is an amazing short hike just steps away from the hotel to catch the sunrise which was so so special. I loved the food and the Castus Pool Bar. This place felt like a resort and the pictures didn’t do it justice, I highly recommend !

This place is one of the best in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. Great and nicely decorated hotel. Amazing stay. Great services beautiful place. Great pools and spas. Nice restaurants. Only thing I would recommend is upgrading rooms. Our room had paint chipping, couches outdated but loved the room for the rate

We attempted to schedule a walk through for their wedding venues. I left a voicemail on 12/21 for the hotel to call me back regarding a walk through. As of 12/28/21 I have not heard back. Chalking it up to the holidays I called and was sent to another voicemail. After another four days with no return call I called back and directed to a specific person's voicemail who was in charge of the wedding venue, I left a voicemail and did not receive a callback. I subsequently called two more times because the site appears to be beautiful based on the photos and we were really interested in it. I called a final time to request to speak with someone, first the hotel sent me to the same person that had been ignoring the calls. Rather than leave a message with the individual who had not been calling back, I called the front desk again and requested an actual person. I was transferred to another voicemail. I called the front desk again and I asked if anyone actually worked within the weddings/events department was available and was told that this has been a problem that they have dealt with fairly consistently and they didn't have an answer. Ultimately I am very happy we did not get a chance to choose them for our venue as if we were having this many challenges contacting them trying to give them our business before, I can only imagine what the challenges would be trying to get in contact with them to set up the wedding. This is especially disappointing given that I have spent over 1300 nights in Marriott properties.

Lobby, Bar/Restaurant Area and Pool are fantastic! Built right into the side of a mountain! The views of the Valley are great. The rooms are good. Bathroom, specifically shower is dated. But with the views and pool area you wont be spending time in your room!

Como um membro Platinum vitalício, fiquei desapontado. O resort é lindo e voltaremos, mas falta a manutenção dos quartos e a comunicação sobre os serviços fechados é ruim, no nosso caso o café da manhã tipo bufê. Também fiquei desapontado com o upgrade que recebemos, considerando que a instalação estava quase vazia. A gerência deste estabelecimento Marriott deve fazer todo o possível para tornar as estadias neste momento memoráveis. Cinco estrelas no entanto para a equipe!

A piscina e jacuzzi, e a paisagem são adoráveis e relaxantes. Se você precisa de bebidas alcoólicas e não quer sair, os bares atendem à beira da piscina. O restaurante de café-da-manhã é sofisticado, caro, mas comida deliciosa e excelente serviço ao cliente. Os quartos estão desatualizados e desgastados. A cama era confortável, eo banheiro/área do chuveiro era limpo e mais recente. Os quartos são minúsculos. No geral, tivemos uma estadia agradável.

As a lifetime Platinum member I was disappointed.The resort is beautiful and we will return, but the room maintenance is lacking and communication regarding closed services is poor, in our case the buffet breakfast.I was also disappointed in the upgrade we were given considering the facility was almost empty.Management at this Marriott property should be doing everything possible to make stays at this time memorable.Five stars however for the staff!

The pool and jacuzzi's, and landscape are lovely and relaxing.If you need alcoholic beverages and don't want to leave, bars cater to the poolside. The breakfast restaurant is upscale, pricey, but delicious food and excellent customer service.The rooms are outdated and worn out.The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom/shower area was clean and newer.The rooms are tiny.Overall we had a nice stay.

With the amount of amenities that are closed at the resort they should consider lowering their room rates. Also should consider updating their rooms. The property is gorgeous otherwise

WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE!! Hotel is in bad shape! Dark and musty hallways lead you to a gross and outdated room. We had 2 rooms for our stay and both had dirty carpets, mold on the walls in the bathroom and a strong smell of mold in the room. The food services are mediocre, serving undercooked steaks and poor sides. Not to mention, they are not offering room service right now due to COVID, so you have to drive or walk to the restaurant. General Manager has little sympathy or compassion to help. Won’t ever come back!

Sem oportunidade de pedir QUALQUER comida ou bebida durante esse período.Sem serviço de quarto Sem spa Sem centro de fitness Sem manobrista Sem escorrega de piscina O serviço da piscina termina às 17h nos fins de semana e às 14h nos dias de semana. As opções de jantar fecham às 21h. Horário da piscina das 8h às 20hAlém disso, a qualidade da comida não era o padrão do Marriott. Em que todas as entradas foram servidas com chips de chaleira sobre cozidos e nenhuma opção para substituição. O ceviche ao lado da piscina custava US $ 18, era do tamanho de um copo de amostra e era muito picante. Crème brûlée como sobremesa tardia do bar. Esse lugar é incrível. A hospitalidade foi incrível, desde o check-in na recepção até os servidores ao redor da área da piscina. Eles garantiram que estávamos bem cuidados. A única desvantagem que tenho são os preços dos alimentos e bebidas, esteja pronto para gastar algum dinheiro, você definitivamente vai pagar alguns preços de resort aqui. Eu recomendaria trazer um pouco de álcool para o quarto e, talvez, pedir um pouco de comida e entregá-la no seu quarto. Não é um lugar ruim. Acho que é um local lindo e tem um estilo único. A única desvantagem é que eles cobram US $ 15 por noite pelo estacionamento e US $ 15 por dia pelas taxas de resort. Not a bad place. I think it's a beautiful location and has a unique style. The only downfall, they charge $15 a night for parking and $15 a day for resort fees. Not to mention when we were there, the slide for the kids was not in service. There also no grills in site. We made it a great time.

This place is amazing. The hospitality was amazing from checking in at the front desk to the servers around the pool area. They made sure we were well taken care of. The room rates are great in the summer time. The only downside I have is the prices for food and drinks, be ready to spend some money, you will definitely pay some resort prices here. I would recommend bringing some alcohol to the room and maybe order some food and have it delivered to your room. Besides that everything was amazing and the views from the pool are incredible and they also have hidden jacuzzis in the mountains. I will definitely be going back. Best resort to stay at in the summer time for Arizona.

3 night staycation during covid, checked in 08/27/2020. I have to say that there's a lot left to desire and you don't get what you pay for. After having stayed at another resort a couple weeks ago. The service is nice. Sadly, there are limited hours of service on everything. Note that there is a gap in food service resort wide from 10:00am - 11:30am. With no opportunity to order and ANY food or drinks during that time. No room service No spa No Fitness center No valet No pool slide Pool Service ends at 5pm on the weekends & 2pm on weekdays. Dinner food options close at 9pm. Pool hours 8am-8pm Additionally, the quality of food was not Marriott standard. In that all the entrees were served with over cooked kettle chips and no option for substitution. The ceviche at the pool side was $18 was the size of a sample cup and too spicy. Crème brûlée as a late dessert from the bar. Ordered togo for the room, it was under cooked and didn't taste too good. This review is hard to post as every single staff member was nice and courteous. From the pool servers, the lobby bar to the breakfast counter, last but not least the top of the rock restaurant. However, I wouldn’t recommend staying here with the limited hours and under-staffing.
