“We were so disappointed in stay at Anantara Uluwatu. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is really run down and requires immediate renovations and maintenance to even come close to maintaining their 5 star rating. You can see at one point it was definitely beautiful and the location is sensational, but the hotel is 10 years old now and I wouldn’t say it reflects 5 star luxury. Service was great of course (but this is the normal standard in Bali) but for the price we paid per night, the hotel and amenities were not satisfactory at all. Prior to Anantara we had stayed in Seminyak at the Indigo Hotel and this was 5-star and Anantara was no where near this standard or level of luxury. Anantara was almost triple the price we paid for Indigo so our expectations were high and we were totally let down even from when we pulled up. The “grand entrance” was run-down and the tiles under the Anantara sign were in need of a big clean/replacement- this set the tone for the rest of the hotel. While there are definitely some picturesque areas, our main impression was it was really run-down and not a 5-star hotel, nor reflected the hype/price. In this case, pictures of the hotel did not reflect what we saw and that’s why I’m writing this review! I wish we had read more before we stayed!”

“Definitely will go back to stay at Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort! I’ve had the greatest experiences during my stay there. Love the view, love the breakfast, love the private beach, love all the facilities and the services. My favorite spot to watch the sunset is on the open space under the chapel.”
