Stayed over the memorial holiday with my two children and wife and we had the worst experience with this hotel compared to many of the hotels we have stayed in over the years. The overall stuff are not friendly, especially the ones at the guest service desk, and even more, Jim one of the daytime managers is very mean. Breakfast is awful and they’re trying to get stingy for a highly regarded hotel like that with that kind of poor quality breakfast. They put out in the kitchen couple of items with no many selections. They couldn’t even offer pancakes and my children couldn’t eat anything else. We basically paid a free money for not waking up for breakfast anymore. We called for cleaning and they said it’s by appointment request. We called for maintenance to fix the bedroom suite door and they said no one was available, they couldn’t even change the room for us. We forgot and left valuable items on the checkout day and they said we have to make a claim through the hotel insurance, which apparently the insurance declined the claim afterward. We spent $1200 in four days stay and it doesn’t deserve that much money compared to what they’re offering and how they treat their guests. In my opinion, stay away from that hotel.

Overall stay was okay. They need more elevators be prepared to be waiting. The room was nice but needs updating, we had ripped wallpaper in a few areas. It was a good location we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. They only offer valet parking at 65$ a day but the service to get the car was very easy to use and we didn’t have to wait super long to get our car using the texting service they offer. I personally did not like the breakfast that was offered except the cereal. All staff members we dealt with were very nice.

It was a nice place to stay. The rooms were very big and spacious, and the breakfast had very healthy foods. The bathroom had a shower which was a bit tricky to use, but the rest of it was very nice. The service was great and the waiters were very attentive and patient. The location is also nice, with nice places around and the river walk is close too. I would say the thing I missed was having more bathrooms-we only had one for 6 people, and having more variety of food during breakfast. Otherwise, excellent quality!

The location of this hotel is great! Very clean and modern. Customer service is fantastic. Solid breakfast, but no alternative food options such as soy/almond milk or gluten-free bread. Elevators can be a bit slow. They really need 4 of them for the size of this hotel. We choice valet parking with the hotel. There are other options. You can do the same and walk everywhere you need to go unless you are venturing out to the suburbs. Even then, you can ride the train. Dinner is not served at this location. You are in the heart of downtown Chicago; close to Michigan Avenue, it is not needed. Enjoy!

It all honesty a 2.5 stars is needed. The hotel's location is great and the general size of the room was fine. I appreciate them taking care to remove the feathered pillows and covers. The staff for breakfast were pleasant. However, the cleanliness was a little less than in our room and the furniture/tub are definitely dated entities. And the temperature control was horrible. There is no reason it should still be uncomfortably hot and the thermostat was set on 60. It was so hard to sleep or to stay in the room.
