“Swapping our downtown digs for something closer to the sea, Pier2620 was a welcomed fresh start. Checking in for a long weekend, we loved this hotel. The rooms are great, lots of space and even some room for a lounge, which is always a nice treat. The shower is also amazing, and stand out.
What we were not aware of and were not informed at the time of booking, is this hotel is undergoing a renovation, limiting access to restrooms. Which was a challenge for me as we had an evening flight. Views to the courtyard are also a bit of a stretch. There is currently a cemented area with some lamps in the centre.
A suggestion for their ongoing renovations, would be to update the room keys, lift access and safe options. The current system is outdated and not in keeping with hotels of today and the appetite of their customer.
Staff are lovely and I imagine under pressure given the operational restraints. They were very attentive and friendly.”
