Um ícone de Chicago, uma experiência histórica em um hotel bem localizado.O The Palmer House Hilton é um hotel gigante como mais de 1600 quartos é um ícone estadunidense, carregado de historia e salões imponentes, é o hotel mais antigo de operação consecutiva nos EUA, mantem a identidade visual semelhante da sua terceira ampliação na década de 20, sendo renovando mais recentemente em 2009.As áreas comuns são um deleite aos olhos, uma viagem no tempo, fantástico! Já os quartos, são limitados pelo projeto de 20, especialmente os banheiros, que são pequenos, mesmo assim nada que prejudique a experiência.Os clientes Diamond contam com uma recepção exclusiva, já o Executive Lounge é uma decepção, extremamente acanhado e pequeno para um hotel de 1600 quartos.Espero que esse breve relato ajude a outros viajantesa escolherem o próximo hotel. :)** Meus relatos são baseados em experiências reais como viajante a trabalho e a lazer em mais de 200 diferentes hotéis em 4 continentes, principalmente das redes Hilton e Accor. ;)

No me hospede aquí. Llegué solo para admirar el centenario lugar que fuera regalo de bodas de la hija del diseñador y constructor Potter Palmer. ¡Cuanta opulencia debió derrochar este hotel de finales del siglo XIX!

The staff are very professional, rooms are older but have amazing charm. Beds and linens are wonderful and classy. One of a kind experience! Antonio at the front desk is knowledgeable and friendly thank you for a very entertaining conversation when I couldn't sleep. If you come here , come here for the history and exquisite decor. Comparing it to another hotel is like apples and oranges. Also for the people that are complaining about low water pressure the have they have low pressure water heads on purpose the are conserving water. States this right on their sustainable page.

I loved the ceiling in the lobby and the ambience of the hotel.It's in a great location.Our room was large, but like with all the older hotelssome things in the room were dated. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Over all I enjoyed our two night stay.

This historic hotel didn't disappointed me. When you arrive and look up, you are very impressed by the wonderful ceiling. Situation is perfect, just 3 minutes to Millennium Place. Rooms are ok, beds a little bit small in width. TV was not working, but I didn't need it. Breakfast was an option and the negative point, you must wait to be seated and it could be more than 20 minutes! But service was good. Only menu option, in that kind of hotel a buffet would be more appropriate and effective. Swimming pool is very nice too!

Una Ubicación inmejorable. Puedes ir a pie a la mayoríade los atractivos turísticos. La decoración del hotel hermosa. La atenciónpor parte del personal es muy buena. Incluso las veces cuando se presentaron inconvenientes con la reservacion y el aparcamiento fueron muy amables y dispuestos a ayudar Las c cama muy cómoda. Great to be back at the Palmer House, a Chicago gem! I was attending a luncheon, so no room rating. The facilities are gorgeous, as shown in the photos. I had forgotten that the peacock door was there; it is such a wonderful work of art. The event was in the Empire Room, which is ornate and almost a work of art itself. Lunch was good: chicken with fingerling potatoes. The veggie sides of asparagus and carrots was perfectly blanched. Overall, very good for a mass seating. Service was attentive.

Our group has been coming here for 20+ years. Everyone is so friendly & welcoming that it feels like coming home each trip. We remember them but, more importantly, they remember us. The staff are excellent. The food is delicious. The rooms are comfy. The black & white pictures take you down memory lane. This hotel is a must for any trip to Chicago. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and in a great location. There is an amazing lobby, coffee shop, bar, spa, and gym. The room itself though had a couple of problems. It was spacious, but there was no microwave. There are communal ones, but only on a few floors and they were very dirty. All rooms should probably include their own microwaves. We also had leftover food in the fridge from the previous guests, and we asked for it to be cleaned and it never was. the shower water was cold with very low pressure. No food included in your stay. Again, very beautiful place, but probably could use some updating.

It is all about expectations. For two nights I paid $514. Based on the reviews and pictures, I expected something spectacular. What I got was a spectacular location and historic hotel. The rest was not even mediocre. They did not have my reservation. Even though I had a confirmation number. The room they gave me was very small with a window that looked at another wall of the hotel. I called and asked to change the room. They told me that their hotel is not known for the views. Yet, they gave me another room that was bigger and had a window that was looking to the street. However, none of the outlets in the lamps worked. There were no refreshments. The faucet was dripping and the light switch in the bathroom was not turning on every time. Their pool is small and only open until 9 pm. In other words, these features describe a cheap motel, not the one that is highly rated. It is nice to be in the center of Chicago and close to everything but there are cheaper hotels out there with better service.

El hotel es precioso pero la atención es pésima. Se limitan a lo justo, no ayudan en nada ni explican o aclaran dudas. Se paga la WiFi. Te hacen cargo a tarjeta de todo aunque lo tengas incluido o tengan la garantía de 200 dólares (te dicen ya liquidaremos).Garantía que 6 días después de dejar el hotel no han desbloqueado. Lo bueno es que está bien situado aunque el metro elevado se oye bastante.

We had a very nice stay, the location is near the Chicago Art Institute so we were able to walk to the museum. The interior is nice and there are curated displays detailing the history. The bar is fairly quiet, good for conversation, and food is available after 4pm. There is no coffee station in the room.

I absolutely love the historical nature of this place. My family is from Chicago so for my daughters birthday we came for a quick trip for her to experience a big city and historic hotel. I have no issue with the room. It’s-a historic venue so that’s what you get. Which personally I love. The front desk went absolutely above and beyond letting us check in early and check out late. I was incredibly disappointed that there wasn’t really a food option. Over priced sandwiches?? Really? I’m not vaccinated for medical reasons so I couldn’t eat at the bar but I couldn’t even get room service. As a business owner I realize Covid has been devastating but for $350 I should at least get food in my room. If not, then it shouldn’t be so much if I have to leave to get food after traveling all day. I’d love to come back when life is normal again and experience this beautiful hotel with all its glory.

This hotel was exceptional. It was a really upscale hotel and the staff was incredible. They were willing to help you out with whatever you needed and were very friendly. The rooms were immaculate and they had a lot of accommodations for you. It was in the theater area of Chicago so there is a lot to do. Overall, my experience was excellent and if I come back to Chicago I would definitely stay here again

Must visit and stay at Palmer House. Rich in history and amazing views of vintage ball rooms and common areas. Great that management left some ballrooms open to walk through. Gym and pool were well kept and maintained. Ashley did a great job managing our stay to ensure it was memorable.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any room. They compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you will love it I'm sure!We’ve loved our stay here. Gorgeous interiors and centrally located in The Loop. The pandemic and staffing shortages are difficult for all in hospitality - and my family was grateful for the kindness, authenticity and effort put forth by the staff this week. Will be back!

This is a beautiful hotel! They front desk upgraded our room. Had some serious issues with parking attendants bot being able to drive, holiday time is hard on all places....not to mention Covid issues. I think grace is important to show businesses, employees as well as customers. And the hotel took care of the issue promptly. Attendants in hallways were courteous. Clean, historic rooms. Haply hour was boisterous. The only thing I wished was for actual food at 11pm when we got back from sightseeinf- the restaurant and snack area was closed.Great hotel. Great history. Great service.

Such a beautiful, historic hotel! If you do nothing else, visit the lobby and have one of the friendliest bartenders serve you one of their delicious cocktails. Rooms on exec floors are large - mine had a walk-in closet! Shower seems to be recently upgraded - nice new fixtures. Not the most comfy bed - a bit soft and saggy - but better than many. Suspect it is on the list for upcoming refresh.

I'm a local Chicagoan and have visited and stayed in many of our hotels. I hadn't spent that much time in the Palmer House as a guest until this weekend. Everything was pretty incredible for a non-luxury/upscale hotel. Common spaces are amazing, rooms nice, modern and clean - the pool and gym are incredibly nice for this kind of hotel. And the location, history, intangibles make this a really wonderful place to spend your time in our city.

There's no question that the lobby of this building is glamorous and beautiful. However, amenities advertised on the website were not available, presumably due to COVID restrictions, including room service and pool, which we didn't know until we arrived. The lobby restaurant is open and therefore not COVID-safe; in any case, there were private parties two nights of three, so it wasn't available to guests. Rooms, while adequately clean, are somewhat worn and need updating badly. Staff is uniformly friendly; the bell station staff are a particular help. But the only way to call this a four-star hotel is if you average out five for the lobby and three for the rooms. We didn't think this hotel was worth the cost, and though we weren't terribly disappointed, we probably won't return.

Recent stay at this historical hotel. We had a lovely experience . We were greeted with smiles upon arrival. We didn’t need to drag our luggage all the way up to check -in . The beds were very comfortable and with an upgrade to a 2 bed room with 2 bathroom suite for a very minimal charge our trip was even better. Housekeeping also graciously provided us a microwave and a few requested dishes. We had a delicious casual meal in the lobby one evening with one of their signature cocktails the “ Palmer House Brownie Old Fashion “ for dessert. Note the brownie was first invented at this hotel in 1893❣️

The hotel atmosphere it’s self was cool, but our room was awful. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the refrigerator that was in our room was broken so all of our groceries that we bought for our room went bad. For how well recommended this hotel came, I am really disappointed with the service and how poor the quality of the room was. There are so many other really awesome hotels in the area that I would recommend over this place.

I am a Hilton Diamond and have been staying at The Palmer for years.Sad to say it is no longer my preferred hotel. Will need to find another Property DT Chi ☹️. If you've never been - drop by and check out the Lobby.It is worth the visit but this will be my last time staying here.The Conrad is a better choice for Higher end stays. - No Executive Lounge in the morning or evening - Partial amenities in the gym (this was a really nice gym at one time) - No in-room coffee - No waters in the room (even a basic Hilton does that and even leaves a welcome note!) - Bulk shower amenities like a locker room.Shampoo was like water and no bar soap - just very watery bath gel.To be sure - I am thrilled this old hotel reopened.It was a sad day when I heard it closed. But its no longer the experience it was.

I'm going to start with service, as this is so important. The moment you step up to check in you are greeted with a smile(only guessing as they have masks on) and a welcoming voice. The staff around the hotel are very pleasant and informative. The only person not so friendly was the women at the jewelry shop. On to the hotel itself. It is stunning architecture and beautifully decorated for the season. The rooms were lovely and beds are super comfy. Location is the best part. Blocks away from all the top tourist attractions. We felt safe walking here even at night. I would definitely stay here again.

We are locals. We come to the Palmer House once a week for grab n go salad, coffee and their renowned brownies! We eat/drink in their magnificent lobby. It would be impossible to replicate the character of this hotel. By far, one of the most beautiful in all of Chicago!

My husband & I stayed here for a night the weekend after our wedding just to get out of town briefly as we are waiting for our actual honeymoon for awhile. The moment we walked into this hotel our Jaws hit the floor. It's INCREDIBLY beautiful. We were blown away with everything and wanted to stay so much longer just to explore the hotel alone, let alone the perfect location it's in. The employees all greeted us with a smile and we're all helpful. Such a unique stay! The pool was a perfect plus after walking around the city too. 👌

We got a king bed room and it was SO small, much smaller than the pictures their web site had for the room we chose. Zero amenities in the room besides a TV. No fridge ($40 extra). No bottled water even. The bed was comfortable enough but nothing special. People were smoking in the halls or a nearby room and we could smell it strongly all night. I've stayed at 2 star hotels with nicer rooms and a better experience. At check out the clerk didn't even ask how our stay was. Will never come back to this hotel, other hotels nearby for the same price are much nicer and newer.

This is a beautiful hotel in the center of Chicago now owned by Hilton with significant history.They are celebrating 150 years of existence.It's conveniently located near transits, restaurants, and places of interest.Once in the hotel, I felt like I stepped back in time to the roaring '20s; high energy, lavish and exquisite attention to detail with the decor.The staff was friendly and welcoming.We got an upgrade to the executive suites with a courtyard view and executive elevator.The suite was roomy, clean, comfortable, and had two bathrooms (with two shower heads).There are retail stores on the premises also.There is a convenience store, restaurant,and lavish lounge on the main lobby floor.There are multiple options for conference rooms.There are amazing ballrooms here to celebrate any special occasion; especially the wedding of the year.Even if you don't plan on staying here,this is a good point of interest not to miss.There are heirlooms on display in the main hallway, and a small museum that is currently closed. It would have been nice see those items up close. I will say this was a memorable stay.

The history and beauty of this hotel are amazing. Location is great, rooms are very clean, up-to-date, and very comfortable. Our room on the 22nd floor didn't have much of a view besides brick walls, but that's to be expected in a large city. Make sure to tour EVERY ballroom, they are each stunning in their own way. Steer clear of the famous $8 Palmer House brownie. It's very tasty (reminiscent of fudge with walnuts) , but only about three bites and not worth $8.

Ótima localização, bem próximo do Millenium Park, do Art Institute e com todo tipo de loja por perto. Quartos bem amplos, limpos e bem confortáveis. A única sugestão para melhoria é no serviço do check in, pois a atendente não informou nada sobre onde ficavam os elevadores para os quartos (o hotel é enorme!), como funcionava o café da manhã ou o wifi.

A academia é super moderna e tem mtos aparelhos. O momento da cobrança das tarifas foi um pouco confuso, passaram no cartão um valor bem superior ao informado no dia em que a reserva foi feita. The Palmer House is considered a historic property and it seems they really want to fully embrace that narrative. Seriously, some of the rooms look like they're leftover from the Nixon era. It's rather embarrassing considering this was once a Chicago landmark and one of Conrad Hilton's crown jewels.

Slow check in too few staff. Hard to find anything their glasses were in the cupboard where the safe was? No bottle opener with a mini bar to open beer. We paid a top price for average accommodation will definitively not be back. This place is letting the Hilton chain down. Not recommended

Central location within easy walking distance of the Art Institute, the Symphony and the metro. The lobby is grand and seems to be home to a lively happy hour. The room was quiet, had a good view and was rather comfortable. The reception desk was friendly and staffed well. There was never a line. The housekeeping staff were so friendly and my room was in tip top shape after every cleaning. The gym is fantastic and had free weights, machines and a large collection of cardio machines. Historic hotel with all the modern touches.

Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos en este Hotel. Tiene una execelente ubicación en el loop. Nuestra visita anterior fue buena, la habitacion de buen tamano, amenidades y pudimos disfrutar de la alberca. En esta ocasion, al llegar me dicen que estan sold out de habitaciones con cama King (se supone que por eso tengo una reserva!) y me ofrecieron segun ellos un upgrade a una suite mas amplia (para reuniones), efectivamente era muy amplia, pero la cama se plegaba en la pared y al desplegarla no era king size, era un poco mas pequena. Eramos mi hija de 5 años, mi esposo y yo. Normalmente cabemos perfecto en una cama king size, no esta vez. Mi esposo tuvo que dormir en el sofa. El baño era pequeño y apretado. En la habitacion que yohabia reservado debia haber una cafetera y cafe. No habia nada de eso. Solicite a recepcion cafetera y cafe y me dijeron que la enviarian. La cafetera nunca llego. Solo estuvimos una noche. Asi que ya ni me moleste en volver a pedir nada. Mi hija estaba super emocionada de poder ir a la alberca, pero al llegar nos dijeron que estaba en remodelacion y aunque el plan era tenerla lista para la primavera peroestara lista hasta Octubre. No fue una buena estancia esta vez para nosotros, el supuesto upgrade no fue conveniente para nada. El personal de front desk muy amable pero al final ni una cafetera parahacerme un cafe pude obtener.

El hotel es muy bonito, el lobby es impresionante, y si leemos sobre su historia no sales del asombro.Habitaciones cómodas, personal que trabaja en este lugar es muy atento. Se los recomiendo!!!!

Nice historic hotel in a great location. The lobby is incredible. The ceiling literally came out of Europe and it feels like a museum. Truly beautiful. There are a couple of bars with good selection of liquid libations. The rooms are nicely appointed. Bathroom amenities are lower in quality than expected going well with perhaps the smallest bathroom possible. Rooms are very dry. Staff are nice and genuinely helpful. Rooms are louder than expected, with quality of sleep impacted.

El hotel está situado muy cerca a muchos lugares turísticos. Esto fue perfecto por nuestra familia. Nos gustó el cuarto también. Todo muy bien.

El hotel es un maravilla de edificio. Tiene un montón de historia. Aunque los cuartos son un poco pequeño, hay mucho en la ciudad para hacer. Aviso, el cuarto no tuvo máquina de café ni microonda, pero hay un Starbucks en el primer piso y puedes rentar una microonda por el durante de tu vacación.
