“Tired and old basic rooms. The street noise is particularly loud and the hotel restaurant is expensive. The reception area is very nice and valet parking staff are excellent. The food in the restaurant is good quality but there are lots of restaurants around that offer better prices so you will see a lot of Uber eats deliveries here.”

“We stayed at the Westin Long Beach last week. We ate every night in the Grill downstairs. I have to say, the food was great, the drinks were even better. The bartenders and wait staff were awesome as well. Best Moscow Mule I have ever had. Thanks!”

A sub-par Westin - overall it was 3 out of 5. The lobby was renovated and looked modern and posh. The staff at the front desk were all very nice and dressed nicely - super helpful for sure. Once you stepped inside the elevator- you went back to the 80s era elevator with stainless steel plate design. You walked into the room - from the deco to the bathroom design - they were all 10-15 years out of date. Very different than the photo 😂. The bathtub our room was clogged. We called and they came quickly to fix it - that they did a a good job.
Also, during night time we could hear the conversation from next door which was very annoying. Would we stay here again? Unlikely.

Let’s start with the beds, although comfortable they are not your standard queen, they are full. Second the smell everyone talks about. It smells humid and unclean. The staff is not helpful and they want to charge for everything! I have a little one and needed a cod bed, the charge was $25 dollars, after agreeing they move on to tell me it doesn’t fit in my room but they can move me to a different room. We got here late so decided to order room service that was supposed to be available till 11 according to their menu, but when I called at 10:15 they said they close at 10. We ended up grabbing some ramen in the convenience store downstair, we came back to eat I’m our room. We called for utensils and they told me the store doesn’t belong to the hotel and if I need utensils it’s a 5 dollar charge to deliver them. Instead I was told to go downstairs and look for some in their restaurant. A very unpleasant experience all around.

The hotel lobby and restaurants/ bar were very nice, the rooms needed some tlc. They were a little dated, which is fine, but there was dust in areas that had not been tended to in quite some time. Upon inspecting our room, we had to call for a new linens to be placed on the bed because of stains. For the price, I should have been able to run a white glove across any surface without finding grime.
The shower heads were set up so that anytime you turned on the shower you wet up the towels that had been for some reason placed directly across from the shower head stream. The shower water was lukewarm at best.
Staff was super nice, though, and there was even a pumpkin carving contest that the guests were invited to judge!

Clean, good service and taking precautions to ensure guests are safe. Complimentary coffee from the bar due to lack of facilities in the room which was lovely!
