“We stayed at this location last year and really enjoyed the hotel, so we decided to stay at the location again for this trip. Unfortunately, it was not the same experience and we were extremely disappointed this time around. As we were checking in, we informed the employee that we needed a pet friendly room which they were able to accommodate, but stated that the pet fee has now been raised to $125. This completely caught us off guard as the previous time we stayed, the pet fee was only $25. Having a pet fee that is over 50% of what the rate of the room itself is seems extremely outrageous. In addition, there is not a single mention of the pet fee or increase located on the website and when we went to sign for the room, they are still using the original pet fee form that states “$25” and not $125. When I raised this concern with the individual checking us in, they stated that they haven’t been given new forms with the new rate but that the price was increased due to the amount of time it takes to clean the rooms. I understand that pets can potentially add additional cleaning steps and time, but to increase the price 5x the original charge from last year while also not having any type of updated policy or sharing the information on your site seems completely inappropriate and is not a good experience for customers whatsoever. Having a standard pet fee along with an additional deposit for when rooms require additional cleaning would make much more sense. To add insult to injury, when we got into our room, it had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. We called the front desk right away and they moved us to a new room which was better but had a slight smell of dog urine. If you’re going to charge an astronomical pet fee and claim that it’s due to the extra cleaning needed, I would expect the rooms to be free of strong odors. Very disappointing experience compared to our first visit at this location.”

“Housekeeping only once a week. Poorly maintained: water damaged bathroom door and walls, door hinges were missing. Charges $10 for parking which is outrageous for the area. They were doing some paintings in the hallway while there were still many guests using the very hallway. Breakfast is less than average with low quality items. The rate is astronomical for the quality and service they provide in the area which leaves lots to be desired. Overall not a great experience, would certainly avoid next time.”
