The room was clean and comfortable; my check in and check out was smooth and effortless. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Tony Morales checked me in and out; he is the DEFINITION of amazing customer service.

Mr. Tony Morales was so nice and friendly , he made our stay so pleasant,. He is a a 10 star if I could give it.Me and my daughter stayed 17ththrough the 19th to visit family.It is very clean, friendly staff. I will stay here every time we are down there . I always bring cleaning supplies with me but didnt have to clean anything here, I will not stay no where else in the future when visiting family inHouston.

The whole staff was wonderful. They accommodated our cats and my family after having to evacuate from New Orleans for hurricane Ida and made our stay more like a vacation then having to run for our lives. There were a few exceptional employees: mainly Tony and Tina at the front desk and the gentleman who served breakfast, although I didn't get his name. Also the lady in charge of housekeeping was super friendly. I had never heard of this brand of hotels before but I definitely will be staying with this chain again in the future. The kitchen was fully stocked with two burners, pots and pans as well as several different cooking utensils. Our rooms were clean and extremely comfortable (the pillows are the best). We also were super appreciate of the onsite laundry which came in super helpful because we only pack three days worth of clothes. Tony provided plenty of activity suggestions to help keep our mind off of the hurricane and provided several restaurant suggestions. Also, when we had to extend our stay, they made it super easy. I'm so thankful for being able to find this hotel on such a short notice and so happy it was in such an interesting part of Houston.

upon entering Sonesta Hotel in The Galleria on Hidalgo Street I was immediately greeted by the apparent owner he refused to tell me what his status is in the company and immediately asked me to leave when I have not done anything wrong I simply needed to use the computer to access my information online so I could rent here. yeah obviously doesn't realize that I am a Google reviewer and a local guide. this is the first time I've ever been greeted with such hostility without actually doing anything wrong. there was no fuss or anything about my demeanor I simply needed to cut through the hotel look at the cleanliness and review the employee hospitality which was non-existent.they called the police even though I haven't broken any laws and I'd like to rent here. this is unacceptable I have a video recording also back in my statements

The room was fine. No breakfast because of COVID (they give you a bag with prepackaged food). The main drawback was the strong presence of cockroaches. You probably wouldn't detect them if you go to bed at a normal hour (around 10pm) but if you stay up as late as 3am, you most likely will find a large roach crawling on the wall by the windows. They also can be found around the fridge on the hard flooring. You might find one on its back thinking it is dead but chances are it is not. Cockroaches are only active at night for about 4 hours then actually try to hide and go to sleep. When disturbed in this state, they wake up and try to scuttle away. Cockroaches are also able to "play dead" if they detect danger. Make sure they are actually dead when you try to get rid of them. You will most likely see them more if it has recently rained outside. If you ask discreetly, management will send the maintenance man to spray your room. The chemical that is sprayed is barely tolerable after awhile and will resonate in your throat making you want to cough. These are "extended stay" suites (that's what ES stands for), so rooms are only cleaned once a week. The furniture in the lobby area needs to be replaced. Leather on the chairs is almost completely peeled off. They have a laundry room, but you have to pay for it with quarters.

El lugar está increíblemente ubicado todo esta cerca y el Mall Gallería también, el hotel está un poco descuidado inclusive tuvimos k matar una cucaracha, eso si fue triste el sofá cama estaba ya muy vencido y se sentían los resortes al dormir eso estuvo terrible, sacar conclusiones

Great suites to stay on your next visit to Houston. The suites sowide in space are comfortable. Havea big fridge, and a complete kitchen. Beds Kingor queensize.
