“What a great hotel! I was in Missoula on business and was intrigued that this hotel was marketed as close to the river. It is right next to the river! Such a beautiful setting! My room did not overlook the river, but I highly recommend requesting a room with a river view. My room had 2 very comfortable queen beds, a nice TV, a chair with a foot stool and a workspace with a chair. The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower and a rain shower head. There was also a large closet that could hold many days worth of clothes. The balconies all had outdoor chairs and a small table. The restaurant, Finn, has delicious wood-fire pizza and beautiful rivers views whether you’re inside the restaurant or out on the deck. A beautiful walking/biking trail is right across the river from the hotel. They also provide shuttle service to and from the airport. The staff was friendly and don’t forget the yummy, warm cookies. I highly recommend the Doubletree!”

“Tired rooms and short staffed. We neglected to call in advance to request a room with a river view and were stuck four nights with a parking lot view. The excessive room rates can only be justified if you have a river view. We paid 1,400 for four nights. We could have stayed somewhere much nicer for less. We stayed with two kids and they didn't have turndown service. Four nights with four people in a small room with no turn down is silly. They said it was available by request but when we requested they were too busy. The maintenance was also bad. The shower didn't drain well and filled with water. The AC didn't cool the room and rattled loudly. We had to sleep with the slider open on a first floor room. Maintenance couldn't or didn't fix despite our request. Two lights were out in the room. The TV was a small old plasma unit. The WiFi was spotty. These things would be expected in a budget motel but not when spending this much. Now onto Fins, the restaurant. We had to wait for two hours for a party of 6. The restaurant was half empty for our entire two hour wait. The food was okay but the $40 filet was over seasoned.”
