“Located in a beautiful and calm waterfront setting, it is a great place to relax. The dining room was elegant, the food excellent and the staff were polite. My room was large and had a great view to the harbour. Only a few niggles have made me down rate the accommodation to four stars, whereas the dining experience rates five stars. Consider my rating to be 4.5.”

“This hotel relies solely on its location. It is not offering value for money. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was not serviced. There were no restaurant meals for the Saturday night, but overpriced bar snacks served in polystyrene containers!!! Absolutely horrified! There are not many other options in Opononi. No hot water on morning of departure. Only one staff member actually greeted us pleasantly. I have traveled extensively and this hotel is not up to standard.”
