Pleasantly surprised by how good the hotel was. Personally the bed was too hard but hotel found a mattress topper which helped somewhat. I would have given 5 star except for that . The food was plentiful and mostly good. Sea view a must. Temperature was mid twenties and fan was great. My room didn't have air con so be aware or check avai if heat at night is a problem. Went in September for my sons 30th birthday, hotel staff were so fun friendly food was amazing drinking we're flowing 🍻🥂🍾and the hotel rooms were very clean ,cleaned every day and towels would definitely go back again 😁👍💕

Great service great staff great food a good all inclusive deal. Michaela on reception is an absolute credit to Pestana. The three barman are fantastic really helpful. We have had wonderful time here. Thank you all so much.

Lovely hotel. All rooms with sea view but request a high floor. All inclusive food average but edible. Drinks are OK but non-premium. Cocktails made via machine! For sunbeds, opt for the garden area which is quiet but also has its own pool. Lots of walking available with local bars and restaurants.

the staff were friendly and always willing to help. they all spoke good English too. the location was right on the beach and you cant get any closer to the sea if you tried. waking up in the morning and stepping out on the balcony to see the amazing sea view was just spectacular. the cleaners always did a great job too and were friendly. the only down side i thought of was the structure of the buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner could do with some work as there are arrows on the floor to guide people and stop people from gathering etc. but almost everybody were doing their own thing and paying no attention to where they should be going. However the staff would tell people if they weren't wearing their masks which was good to see. overall this hotel was amazing and i would highly recommend and would stay again!! i have attached a photo of the balcony view to help people see just how amazing it was.

I like this place, I have to be honest I wasn't expecting much but it has been good. Staff are keen to help and very relaxed. Location is ideal on the beachfront. Food is good enough and they will cater for most diets. I did all inclusive but the kitchenette in the room is an added bonus if you want to cook your own and not queue with the other guests. The bed is a bit firm but that's about my only criticism of the room. I love the sound of the sea as I'm used to it at home but some may not. There is a fan but no air con. For £600 a week you can't go too far wrong. The excursion (west of the island) we did was good, a south African guy called Renato was the tour guide.

Excelente hotel all inclusive. Com uma vista fantástica sobre o atlântico, e acesso direto à praia. Quartos espaçosos com varanda virada para o mar. Funcionários atenciosos e sempre prestáveis para que nada faltasse. Excelente cozinha. Todas as refeições sempre com bastante variedade. Quero realçar os nomes de 2 pessoas que sempre estiveram na linha da frente para que tudo corresse pelo melhor. O sr Nélio Fernandes, chefe de sala e o sr João Santos, chefe de cozinha. A todos eles um muito obrigado. Voltarei em breve.

Hotel fantástico, um pouco fora do Funchal, mas com autocarro gratuito, mais hop-on hop-on passeios param em frente. A comida é excelente, sempre uma grande variedade e boa qualidade. Os quartos são de bom tamanho, o nosso quarto duplo foi realmente um quarto twin com as camas juntas. Os banheiros levar algum tempo para se acostumar como eles são apenas vidro particionado a partir do quarto !!! A equipe não poderia ser mais útil. As piscinas e outras instalações são mantidos a um nível muito elevado.Fantastic hotel, a little outside of Funchal but with free courtesy bus plus hop-on hop-on sightseeing stop out front. Food is excellent, always a wide variety and good quality. Rooms are a good size, our double room was actually a twin room with the beds pushed together. The bathrooms take some getting used to as they are just glass partitioned from the bedroom!!! The staff could not be more helpful. The pools and other facilities are kept to a very high standard.

The hotel is in a beatiful location, but as an all inclusive deal fell down on the food and drink. Dinner included steak and scallops which were both as tough as old boots, although there was a large selection of other foods, most of which was OK. The wine was undrinkable. I asked for a Merlot, to which I got a blank expression and was asked red or white.I said red to which I was dispensed 2 glasses from a jug. In the room water coming out of the taps was the colour of urine. Reception responded by giving me a couple of bottles of water. They said the water was affected by the shutdown! We expected better for £106 per night. Ate out for rest of holiday.

Nuestra luna de miel la hemos disfrutado en este hotel y sin duda volveremos ya que el personal es encantador , la comida del buffet excepcional , el ambiente fantástico y el apartamento limpio , con un amplio balcón con vista a la playa . Good variety of both hot and cold food. New Year gala night was exceptional. Lovely views of the sea. Very friendly staff. Karaoke night very entertaining as was the disco night I think that was down to the friends we'd met. Hotel restaurant wasn't open for my birthday only the buffet so they organised a meal for us in the neighbouring 5 star sister hotel. They also left a bottle of bubbly in the fridge. Thank you we had a lovely week.

En líneas generales buena situación ,buen trato,instalaciones algo anticuadas,no dispone de aire acondicionado,TV antigua y no dispone canales en español. Por otro lado el servicio está muy bien y la comida es normalita . Para ser un 4 estrellas deja mucho que desear.

Disappointed with this hotel. It could do with a thorough overhaul. The rooms were large with great views of the sea but furniture old, beds were uncomfortable and pillows very lumpy, hair dryer didn't work properly and after complaining twice it was replaced with another one that didn't work properly. Not good if you have long hair! The food was poor - I accept all inclusive food is never as good as restaurant food but choice was very limited, often cold and some food was recirculated from previous meal to the next. There is supposed to be an Italian restaurant but when we were there (mid November) we were told it was shut. The bar looks like an afterthought and all drinks served in small glasses which meant frequent trips to the crowded bar. The positive about the hotel was the staff. They were excellent, friendly and helpful. The standard of the hotel is not their fault.

Visited this hotel a few weeks ago and had the most peaceful and relaxing holiday ever. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was varied,tasty and plentiful.The hotel and rooms very clean and tidy and the sea view rooms excellent when opening the curtains in the morning. The free shuttle bus to town was definitely a bonus as the hotel is in a more secluded location. Will definitely be back.

I stayed here after flight delay overnight having spent 10days at the Pestana Promenade. The decor and feel of the hotel is very dated and institutional. But the staff were very friendly considering eighty or so people just turned up at 10pm at night hoping to be fed and accommodated. It wouldn't be my choice of hotel, it is quite far from the town and bars and restaurants so you pretty much have to go with the all inclusive meals, drinks and entertainment. There were some features I preferred over the Pestana Promenade, such as more modern gym equipment, a better bed and an overhead fan in the room rather than noisy air con, kettle etc. It is nicely located next to the sea and a very quiet area. If all inclusive is your thing it would be good choice if you can bear the jolly decor.

Absolutely spotless, beautiful views from all rooms except ground floors. Lovely staff. Food perfectly adequate. Rooms a bit dated but clean and spacious with lovely balcony. The bar was woefully inadequate. Hotel is a few miles from any shops, bars and restaurants. However there is a free bus to town hourly or a taxi which is about £12. If you normally enjoy a night in the hotel bar this is not the place for you. Also you really can't walk anywhere from the hotel as its off a twisty mountain road with no pavements

Ubicación ideal, a primera línea de mar, tranquilo, genial.... Las comidas buffet exelente y variado. Todos los camareros hablaban español, el todo incluido es con bebidas. La habitación que tuvimos era un estudio, completo con vista total al mar. Con parking para el coche que alquilamos. Buena animación aunque mayoría en inglés. Un 🔟 👍

Estuve en este hotel con mi marido y mi hija de 1 año una semana. Y la atención es estupenda. Quedamos muy contentos.La comida muy rica y variada.Tienen un bus para ir al centro a casi todas horas y te traen de vuelta. Sin duda volveremos
