“Staff does not speak English. This is a 2 star hotel. Some things the hotel staff can’t help: The hotel is OLD. There are questionable and very visible stains everywhere, whether that’s the floor; the sofas, KIDS BEDS, headboards...this is a black light nightmare.
Take everything you know about single file lines and quick check-in/out and throw it out the door. Other guests will cut you in line and even the “quick” check in on the 29th floor is awful since the understaffed desk will try to help a handful of people at the same time.
To give context, I spoke with management every night since there was always something major wrong. For example, I had no hot water for a day. I was upgraded every night to a “newly renovated room,” and even the executive suite’s shower was broken.
To Hilton: Even the newly renovated floors hardly cut it for a 3 star hotel. It’s a joke to be advertising this as 5 stars.
The only reason why I am giving a single star is because (1) I have to and (2) the staff was never rude, just inexperienced in hospitality. I had to engage a manager every time I went down to the lobby, which took about an hour away from my trip each time.
To emphasize, even the manager said the hotel is not the nicest and that it was old. He told me I should not have to pay for the hotel, but at that point, I had already lost a quarter of my trip in Cairo to dealing with the poor quality of the hotel.”

This was my first visit to Egypt and Ramses Hilton definitely made it better! I had a beautiful view of the Nile River from my room. I stayed there for 2 nights with my family, and it had definitely been very pleasant. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and my family and I enjoyed it a lot. I will definitely be going back!

Brilliant views, especially from the breakfast room & pool, as on a clear day, you can see the pyramids, which I think definitely adds to the view. Great balconies & beds, but fairly small bathtubs. Rooms come with coolers inside of which are many snacks and drinks, both alcoholic & non-alcoholic, but you do need to pay for what you take out of these coolers. Rooms also come with TV and many channels. Excellent service. A great overall experience.

We stayed 3 nights at Ramses Hilton, it is rated a 5 Star hotel. But I would rate is 3 Stars, its similar to a standard Motel in North America.
