“This was a fairly highly rated Marriott hotel, category 6, so I expected the hotel to be fairly nice. The rooms had been redone and were okay but the common areas overall a bit outdated. They had no parking so had to park at the nearby mall everyday. It rained a lot which left me walking in the rain to the hotel and back whenever I went anywhere in the car. Due to Covid they weren’t servicing rooms unless scheduled, reasonable, so I scheduled one half way through my stay when I first checked in.They never showed up. When I called they apologized and said they’d come the next day, they did show up, but only to take the $10 tip I left them. They touched nothing else, just took the money and the thank you note. I was out of towels and toilet paper at that point so I called the front desk again. Got another oops sorry answer. I enjoy balconies so I made sure I booked a room with one so I could sit and enjoy the early morning on it. The air conditioning units that were directly across from my city view, which as actually a parking structure eye level view, was so incredibly loud, sitting on the balcony was more annoying than relaxing. Also had to call maintenance to get the shower to drain. Also could use a mini lesson in the difference between a bath mat and bath towel. When you call for a bath towel you might find yourself with a bath mat instead.”
