I respect that I'm a coach driver & therefore I personally didn't have to pay for my room. However, the rooms are beautiful, the shower worked well & didn't leak, like I've known with some hotel showers. The food was beautiful & tasty. The bar area was clean & tidy & kept in good order. Although it's an old building, it's kept in a beautiful condition by staff who clearly work very hard. Yes it's a 4 star hotel, but it has earned the rating. The property was very nice. On the surface the property is lovely. The staff was decent.For a hotel that holds the Marriott brand it didn’t not meet the standard when it came to the room or service.The air conditioner had been turned off. To make up for this the tiniest fan about the size of my palm had been provided.I tried to call the front desk but the phone wasn’t ringing through. Instead I received an error message stating “this number is no longer in service”.I can understand that the air conditioning had been turned off for whatever reason but why substitute an air conditioner DURING A HEAT WAVE with the smallest fan on earth?! When I asked the front desk if we could get another fan she spoke to me as if I should be satisfied with what I had been provided and insisted that one fan per room was the policy. Ok, but can I get a fan that’s bigger than my palm!I was told that the phone requires that I press the number 0 to get the front desk vice using the pre set service button on the phone.We went to the shop and purchased bottles of cool water only to get back to the room and find that the mini fridge had been removed from the room. The fridge was removed but all the dust, hair, and grime left.We tried to call the front desk again to request room service. This time suing the 0 button as we were told to. The phone just rang and rang no one ever answered. I just walked to the bar an ordered myself. The man that took my order laughed when I told him that I tried to call the front desk saying “no one answered did they?” He then told me not to wait and that he would have my food brought to my room.Imagine my surprise when I saw I had been charged £4 fee for room service!This is not what I expect from a Marriott brand. O homem que anotou meu pedido riu quando eu disse a ele que tentei ligar para a recepção dizendo “ninguém atendeu?” Ele então me disse para não esperar e que ele levaria minha comida para o meu quarto. Imagine minha surpresa quando vi que me cobraram uma taxa de £ 4 pelo serviço de quarto!Isso não é o que eu espero de uma marca Marriott.

Had a lovely stay here this weekend. The staff where amazing especially Abbie very cheerful and professional. I would of give it 5 stars but my starter course was a bit naff for £12. Our room was amazing all in all a very pleasant stay. Will definitely return. Tivemos uma estadia encantadora aqui neste fim de semana. A equipe foi incrível, especialmente Abbie, muito alegre e profissional. Eu daria 5 estrelas, mas meu curso inicial foi um pouco bobo por £ 12. O nosso quarto era incrível todos em todos uma estadia muito agradável. Definitivamente vai voltar.

Rebecca was an excellent server and an all round beautiful individual she was so kind and attentive. Joe was also a wonderful waiter and looked after us well. We attended a work do and they made us feel super comfortable and special. We didn't stay the night but would in the future now. I had to venture here to Preston for work for about a week, and the Marriott was perfectly located. The hotel itself is very lovely and well the rooms may not be the most modern or nice of any place I've ever had stayed they felt clean and had everything I needed. The amenities were very nice especially the workout facilities. It is located pretty centrally too many wonderful things including the Italian orchard that is a short 20 minute walk from the hotel and is a hidden gym here just outside of Preston. And the staff has all been wonderful and very accommodating, if I have to return here I would definitely stay again. Eu tive que me aventurar aqui em Preston para trabalhar por cerca de uma semana, e o Marriott estava perfeitamente localizado. O hotel em si é muito lindo e bem os quartos podem não ser o mais moderno ou agradável de qualquer lugar que eu já fiquei, eles se sentiram limpos e tinham tudo o que eu precisava. As comodidades eram muito agradáveis, especialmente as instalações de treino.
