“Tourism is a tough game at the moment and it is clear that the Taj family is doing everything it can to hang in there. The specials available are amazing value and offer a great option for a 'staycation'. The staff is visibly cut down to the core which sometimes shows up in the details but overall the hotel is still incredible with mountain and city views, a luxurious spa and great food. The Bombay Brasserie set menu is recommended and I encourage a fun stint in the cigar bar. And, as a wierd aside, the Taj is the best smelling hotel I've ever visited with wafts of various essential oils throughout to awaken the senses.”

“Excellent location. Our suite had a stunning view of Table Mountain. Staff very friendly and beautiful lobby lounge and dining area. However, service very lacking. Our breakfast order was wrong both mornings we had breakfast. Ordered eggs benedict and received farmhouse breakfasts. 😁 Coffee pods, milk sachets, etc were never replenished by daily housekeeping. It is a pity as it is a very nice hotel but lacking management oversight.”
