“I would like to compliment Christine on her wonderful customer service. She was so kind during check in and took care of my families needs. Unfortunately, I had to see her deal with unnecessary controversy from a guest. She handled it with extreme professionalism. I would like to compliment her customer service and the positive way she handled a negative situation. She is an example of a great employee. I hope I get to see Christine at my next stay here! “The hotel is dated and in dire need of an update in the room. For 1-2 nights it’s serviceable, although the bed and pillows are not the best. The real issue is the reception desk. Our check-in was great, the gentleman noted we extended our stay online and made sure to obtain same rooms for two nights. Felt convenient and smooth. If you read the other negative reviews you will see that it is focused around the night time staff. We left our key in our rooms after the pool, we went to the front desk to obtain another key. Only to be berated for not knowing how their system worked. My husband apologized having 2 kids under 3 with us and explained again he didn’t know and was sorry. Christine got very angry at him and said he should know and this was his fault for extending the stay. All he wanted was a key, when I explained to her that it wasn’t helpful to us, she tried to claim in some bizarre way she was helping us take care of our two children? When she hadn’t even looked twice at them. She also claimed she was employee of the month?! a co worker explained she was experiencing some personal issues and we chalked it up to her having a bad day, and I was not going to take this further. What changed my mind was, she went out of her way to cancel all other keys we had a couple of hours after this incident. She threatened our nanny with cancelling her room at 8pm at night when she came back to the hotel. Refused to call another co-worker telling the nanny that no one can help you. English is not her first language so you can imagine her stress. In all - this lady took up hours of txting with a frantic nanny, an afternoon and dinner ruined with us dripping from the pool, and two upset children who didn’t understand why this lady was losing it. We even had to go back downstairs at 9.30pm after dinner because our keys were cancelled into our rooms again. Up until we encountered this lady, we had no issues with our rooms or staff. She clearly was taking some of her issues out on us and frankly it’s not ok in a professional setting no matter what you’re going through. Especially on a family with 2 young kids. I get that everyone has bad days. But this is too much, and completely ruined our stay at this hotel. It took up far too much time for some small administrative issue that we have no control over. I overall felt really upset that she took it out on our completely uninvolved nanny coming home after her day off, and was aggressive and horrible in front of children.”
