Great area. Has the newest Courtyard amenities and lobby. Plenty of restaurants and eateries in the area. Definitely a return location. Much better that the hotels directly near Carowinds for that area.

The GM here is fantastic! He goes above and beyond to connect with the community. I had stopped in to request some help, which is community related, and Adam stepped up with a very welcoming attitude. The inside of this hotel is beautiful. There is a bar area and the lobby is decorated for the holidays too. Great parking to load and unload your items and little traffic as it is not located near thru traffic. Walkable to restaurants in a community called Kingsley.

I hosted two client events there in their ballroom. The food was not hot, the portions were portions were so small the 1st time we had a call with the GM to make sure it would be different for the 2nd event. I think they boiled the Steaks....It was embarrassing. I spoke to the GM after our first event, and felt like I was bothering them after spending over $10k on one event. I do a LOT of events, and don't ever complain. But, buyer beware. Marriott Southpark did a beautiful job the night before, so it's not Marriott... It's the ownership of this location. The building is Beautiful!!! The waitstaff was very nice. But, if you are serving dinner, you'd be 100% better off to use the private room at EPIC Chophouse 100' away, or rent the whole Epic restaurant for a big event. Seriously, it would cost you the same, and the food would be GREAT. Use the hotel to sleep, but not to eat.

Courtyard Marriott Charlotte at Kingsley is a great place to stay. So much to do and see within walking distance. The rooms are clean and the service is top notch. Paityn at the hotel bar/ bistro is a great asset to Marriott. Greeting you with coffee and a smile every morning. I'll be back and I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Charlotte.

Nothing terribly wrong. Staff was kind and helpful. Check in was quick. Bathrooms wallpaper was coming off the walls, held up with clear packing tape. Grout and corners in the shower was dark from mildew/mold. Beds were comfy, however. Furniture seemed out of place, wires were exposed. Guess the cabinet that held the coffee was pulled back to keep it from blocking the HVAC vents...just seemed like an afterthought. Again, nothing terrible, just not what we come to expect from a Marriott hotel.
