There is another review that already addresses the issues that we had with our reservation (trying to double charge for reservation, losing dry cleaning, lack of cleaning services, unhelpful staff) but the worst is that I've just suddenly been billed for 1,300 EUR on my credit card (which was not used for the reservation, only to pay for items purchased as part of room service), which leads me to believe that someone has stolen my credit card information months after we stayed there. The vendor on my CC is listed as "10 KARAKOY" and yet, after multiple phone calls to the hotel this morning, no one has been able to explain what has happened. They asked for me to send an email, but with 1,300 EUR of my own money missing, I don't have time to wait for someone to respond to an email. To prevent additional charges, I've had to cancel my credit card and leave it for dispute resolution. What a scam.My response to below: Cristina has provided bank confirmation of the payment made for the hotel rooms multiple times from her bank. The transaction shows the withdrawal and correct bank number from 10 Karakoy. The fact that my credit card was charged without prior consent, without any communication for an issue that is not our problem, is incredibly unprofessional.

Old caracteristic 5 floor building completely rennovated. On the top floor a quality restaurant with a great view.The area whereit is located one of the best in town.Dont miss out to take a stroll at the Boshoros Port shopping districagran a Burger at Sae Be' or any type of food in on of the numerous restaurants. 12 points go to the staff. I enjoyed my stay at the 10 Karokoy Hotel. The staff speaks English well and was able to accommodate my requests and answer all of my questions. The room was clean, which is most important to me. It was also small and a bit noisy at night. Thankfully, it did not affect my sleep. The sky bar opens at 6pm and is also small but the view is nice. The food for lunch time was tasty and quality is excellent. Prices and portions are reasonable. I highly recommend the grilled platter. The hotel location is perfect as it is at walking distance to several restaurants, coffee shops, bars, shopping stores, transportation means, and of course the Gálata Tower. O quarto era limpo, o que é mais importante para mim. Também era pequeno e um pouco barulhento à noite. Felizmente, isso não afetou meu sono. O sky bar abre às 18h e também é pequeno, mas a vista é boa. A comida para a hora do almoço era saborosa e a qualidade é excelente. Os preços e as porções são razoáveis. As someone else stated, the hotel controls the room temp. You cannot get it colder that 22. They forgot half the time to clean our room. They didn’t bring water at all. The gym has one machine, it’s broken. The gym is in a dungeon. It’s very creepy in the basement and a bunch of empty dark rooms. You CAN ABSOLUTELY hear the cable car all night. The restaurant at the top is deserted and no view with poor food. The only good part was the location but I wouldn’t stay here ever again as a tourist. Despite sending bank statements directly from my bank, they said it was “insufficient documentation” and are threatening to open a court case against me. Glad I had a good last time in Turkey.On top of a “missing direct debit payment” (which was deducted from my bank account to the correct Turkish account and has been proven via bank statements), the rest of the experience was more aligned with a 2 star hotel:1. One of our rooms was never cleaned 1 night despite leaving the room early 2. We had a wedding and sent our dresses to dry cleaning with assurance that we would get them in time. We did not. 3. The front desk was incredibly rude and incompetent. For example, when we requested taxis, they said “go wait outside and ask for one because we can’t help” (I’ve gotten better service at hostels when I was 16). You can imagine how the conversation with my payment went… 4. Overall service was either incredibly slow or never arrived (including simple orders like coffee).Hope this review helps management figure out their payment situation and improve all types of services within the hotel by 10000x. Wonderful boutique hotel in an excellent location, right near a tram stop and the beautiful Bosphorus waterfront. Market, ATMs, restaurants all right there. Staff was great and helpful. Breakfast was very good, good variety, and well presented. I paid a little extra to get a superior room on a higher floor, and it was worth it. I was in the back of the hotel, so good to be higher, otherwise, would be looking into another building, not really any views from the room but quiet considering the busy area. There was a window which opened in the bathroom and was really gorgeous. The room had such a beautiful feel with the design and lighting. Bed and bedding very comfortable. I ate at the restaurant and it was good, but lacked some ambience inside, it was on rooftop and they have a small rooftop bar. Would definitely stay again! El personal fue excelente y servicial. El desayuno era muy bueno, con buena variedad y bien presentado. Pagué un poco más para conseguir una habitación superior en un piso más alto, y valió la pena. I got this hotel from American Express Fine Hotels Collection with good expectations and reviews but reviews are definitely misleading.This is a very small hotel and may be preferred because of its location to Galata Tower.However the service was poor from reception to room cleaning.They have reception by the entrance and you are at the base of the Hills which means that you have to trek uphills to reach Galata Tower and Taksim.Closest Metro is Sishane and it’s still a bit of a walk.Staff was a sub par.We ordered a taxi from hotel and was told 300 liras by hotel staff and taxi driver wanted 450 liras for Istanbul airport after the fact.The sheets were dirty and had hairs leftover from previous guests.I definitely would not come here again.We also had $100 in Amex credits and were charged for room service.We never had that happen in any other American Express Fine Hotels.I would encourage reading other reviews than just relying on Amex reviews.

One of the best hotels in Turkey and the staff are very kind and honourable. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family and would stay here again and again. I stayed at the hotel in April 2022. On my last day in Turkey, while at the airport for my departing flight back to Canada, I realized I forgot my watch which was given to me as a wedding gift. I called the hotel and they confirmed I left it in my hotel room. The hotel safeguarded the watch for me until August 2022, when my sister went to Turkey and retrieved the watch for me. Thank you Mr. Erhan and the rest of the hotel staff. I hope this hotel continues to remain successful in the future! Um dos melhores hotéis da Turquia e os funcionários são muito gentis e honrados. Hotel decente em uma boa localização. hospedado em um quarto familiar. Fizeram um depósito na recepção, devolveram na saída. O café da manhã é razoável. Os quartos são pequenos. Não havia vista da janela. Na minha opinião o preço é alto. A nosso pedido para chamar um táxi do tipo minivan, eles responderam que poderiam pedir apenas 2 regulares. Uber usado.

One of the best hotels in Turkey and the staff are very kind and honourable. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family and would stay here again and again. I stayed at the hotel in April 2022. On my last day in Turkey, while at the airport for my departing flight back to Canada, I realized I forgot my watch which was given to me as a wedding gift.
