Moxy NYC Chelsea, New York

Moxy NYC Chelsea

The new kid on the block has arrived — fitting right into the neighborhood while making a jaw-dropping statement. Standing 35 stories tall, Moxy Chelsea NYC is an inspired addition to Midtown Manhattan, modern yet respectful of its storied surroundings. Tucked within the bustling Flower District, our hotel ushers guests through an overgrown flower shop, where a lush conservatory provides an inviting urban retreat. Design-forward details like an LED art installation and immersive culinary and co-working spaces are spread across the ground floor and lobby, encouraging work and play. Rooms are functional and fun, drenched in natural light and offering stunning vistas of NYC. The views get more spectacular atop our 35th floor glass-encased rooftop lounge, where all of Manhattan lays glittering before you. With four new dining experiences by TAO Group and Francesco Panella located within our hotel, there's no reason to leave — except, of course, to explore the greatest city in the world.

“The rooms are not too small, but if you are traveling with friends, it might get weird because you can see through the glass that separates the shower and the toilet. I love the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the views are beautiful. In the elevator, there’s a sign indicating that the access to the rooftop is on the second floor. That isn’t true tho, so idk, I think that sign should be removed if you don’t wanna be bothered and rude to guests trying to access the rooftop through a direction that the hotel itself indicates, but it doesn’t exist (?).The bar on the second floor is nice, and the coffee shop attached to the lobby is pretty good. It gets very busy early in the morning. On the day of my check-out, only 2 elevators were working. It seemed that none of the staff were concerned about it, even though the guests had to wait for a long time to get an elevator that wasn’t packed like a can of sardines. The location is good. It’s close to subway stations and about a 20-30 minutes walk to some Broadway theaters.Overall is a nice hotel. I don’t know if I would stay there again because the staff attitude was “meh.””

“I can confirm to a review below that the doorman at this hotel was the most friendly. The location was great. However, just like many other hotels near this area. I stay at Moxy Chelsea from Sept 15 - 19 and booked a Skyline view, the view was decent. I was informed by the front desk that I had $30 dollar worth of food and beverage credit. However, I did NOT find until the last day from the coffee shop staff (next to the hotel) that it was $30 PER day, which I had more than $100 dollar gone to waste. Throughout my stay, the doorman was the most friendly guy...”
